Great replacement for my old valve body, which was limed up and allowed no flow from valve body to tub spout. A plumber was going to do the valve body replacement and leave me with a bathroom tile remodeling job. This replacement valve body is machined and manufactured a little differently than the original valve body from around 2007, and appears less prone to liming up that the original. Fortunately for me I never had to use the new valve body, and now have it as a spare part.I'll share this tip with anyone who might care, white vinegar is your friend. I got cold feet, and before turning the plumber loose I decided to try to open up the old valve. I removed the tub spout and shower head, plugged the tub outlet with a rubber stopper, and filled the shower line, valve body and cartride with white vinegar using a vinyl tube and funnel. I let this sit for about 5 days, removed the stopper, and now the valve body works like new. This was a LOT cheaper and easier than the plumbing and remodeling jobs I was looking at.I used ordinary white vinegar, the kind with nutrition information that you can use to make salad dressing. I didn't fool around with cleaning vinegar or anything stronger that might risk damaging plastic and/or rubber parts.

So far I think our experience has been good. Most of our problems I believe were because we are not experienced plumbers and have gone all DIY on the shower build. The first sign of issue was when winter hit and the temp of the shower was not hot, but luke warm at best. We figured this to be the point of use we installed, so we cut in the hot water tank bypassing the point of use at least for the winter. Then we had flow issues. My husband took the cartridge out and would get it to make noise by shaking again, but after 10 minutes or so the shower slowly came to a dribble. I called Delta, they agreed the cartridge was probably a problem. Due to the holidays it took some extra time to get here, but all in all I think I called on Monday, they shipped it, and with Xmas being Thursday, I got it the day after. Either way showering in the other bathroom was short lived. Anyway husband immediately liked the new spring loaded temperature control to prevent scalding because it was easier to use. However still same issue. Turns out after he tore one of the old ones down to figure out how it works we had it in backwards the whole time. He says his confusion is that it seems like the way it's installed looks like it's upside down, as in he expected the H and C to be right side up but wasn't. That even seems odd to me, but either way now that it's in right all of our problems have been solved. The point of use is usable again and it's still winter. It's as hot as it needs to be, and I was able to shut the valve to the hot water tank off again. The flow is now as good as it gets for my house. I removed a star for being confusing to the DIY'ers (that may or may not read directions, I'm inclined to think FIL did and the husband didn't) and because didn't receive the nicer spring loaded scald prevention until they shipped us a new part.

Replacement for old Delta fixture.
I bought this to replace our old bathroom fixture for our plumber. For him, it was easy to install, and it functions very well. It controls the water pressure and is made of quality material.

Plumbers agree, this is a great product
Wasn't sure if it was a good product as the price seems very affordable. But across the board, several plumbers looking at our leaks/fixes in the shower agree this is a great product. Delta website promises their products to be of equal quality no matter what retailers sell the item. (This is not the case with all brands). Was confusing as a NON - plumber to figure out what we needed. This rough in will work with a variety of afforable trims including the kinds with temperature regulators separate from pressure regulators. Lots of flexibility at this most affordable price point. Hope they keep making these forever! With our hard water, we will be replacing cartridges from time to time. Hopefully this will be a forever standard and easy to find trim to match for decades to come.
