This item worked very well tapping Extruded Aluminum, used low Screw speed on drill with oil worked great

Worked great!
Needed to drill and tap an aluminum light pole. Sprayed a little oil on the bit and it worked perfect!

this is a good product but could not use for my application

WOW!
Works awesome, says it'll go through 10ga metal, i pre-drilled a hole in an aluminum casting and used it to tap the hole a half inch. worked great except I didn't try to use the chamfering feature because of the thickness.

Buy It
I got tired of always drilling a hole then having to get the tap and die set out. I build lots of project out of steel, and decided to try these. Let me just say I'm sold, it's a great product. At 1st I figured that I would break them, but I was wrong, prefect threads.

shaft strength
The bit design is great, that part I like. the part that is weak is the shaft, it snapped after a few taps. I recommend using oil for tapping, it may prolong the life of the bit.
