Creative Haven Creative Cats Coloring Book

I bought this colouring book with trepidation, cats with flowers and patterns growing on them? I thought it might be a bit odd, and I was right. It's very odd.....in a good way. I haven't wanted to put it down since it arrived. The paper is on the thin side, but the pictures are printed on one side only, so any bleed through won't matter. I would recommend putting a piece of paper or thin card under the picture you are colouring to protect the next picture just in case you want to use felt pens like sharpies. It's true that each cat more or less has the same face, but it doesn't bother me. The pictures are very detailed and a pleasure to colour in. They're great with a mixture of felt pens and coloured pencils. I have included a few photos to give a taste of what to expect. The book is so much nicer than expected.

There are so many similar books on the market now that the choice is sometimes overwhelming. I have been colouring in (as an adult) for years already and I used to buy childrens versions before I learnt to use rubber stamps for colouring in. This new wave or fashion surrounding this trend is great for someone like me.All the pages are perforated and easy to tear each page out. I use alcohol pens and they do seep through the pages so I use a piece of cardboard to prevent the ink going through.There are 30 pictures in total and each one has the cat/cats with the same facial expression which is not great but the scenes in the pictures are all different. The reverse sides are blank. The designs are intricate and you would need patience as some sections are very fiddly.The printing of the images is excellent and the paper used is good and the dimensions of the book are 20.6 x 0.8 x 27.2 cmThis book works best using coloured pencils and sharpen them well to be able to get into the little places in the picture. At the back it mentions that this has been designed for experienced colorists. Hmm not sure if I would agree with that but with a bit of patience it is suitable for anyone who is looking to an escape to relax and spend quality time colouring in and enjoying the results of their efforts. I completely believe that colouring in will help anyone like myself, find a little serenity and peace in a world that is sometimes complex and filled with demands.I do like this book and the price of £3.59 is very fair for this.I have added photographs for your convenience.

I love this book! I've been doing the colouring books for adults for a couple of years now and absolutely love it. Gorgeous pictures but the cat is the same in each picture would of been nice if it was a different cat but it doesn't put me off. You can also tear out the pages if you desire to frame them or colour them outside of the book. I'm only taking 1 star of because of the cat being the same in every picture. I use sharpies, pencil and gel pen in this book, it does bleed through but as long as you have a piece of paper behind the picture your colouring it won't affect the picture on the other page.

I already have the owl colouring book in this range and absolutely adore it. The same can be said with this cat one as well. It's full of whimsical designs that are different from other colouring books I have they make a nice change. They're not the most intricate but still the designs are lovely and make a break from some of the more complicated patterns I have in other books but they aren't so simple that they feel childish.The paper is lovely quality and allows pencils to glide across the surface making shading and colouring easy. I would test the paper before using felt tip pens mine are ok but I can't say the same for other brands of pen.Perfect for colouring lovers and cat lovers alike and I will be looking forward to more in this range and style.

If you like cats (and you had better, because there are lots of them in this book), this is a lovely colouring book, for both adults and older children.The paper is good quality, with images on just one side of each sheet. The pictures are drawn using fine black ink and are very detailed, giving lots of scope for unique and colourful pictures. All of the pictures are good. A few have larger background areas to colour, but each image is mostly smaller more detailed areas. It's the sort of book that might encourage more adults to do a bit of colouring! Measures: 11"/28cm x 8 1/2"/21cm.
