This particular cable has seperated the power portion from the data transfer portion and I am genuinely hearing less noise in my system providing much quieter backgrounds and overall hearing my music in a better quality then I have for the last year
There is a lot of debate as to whether or not a USB cable can make any difference in your sound quality because people who understand the way these work understand that it is simply transfering data and if tested against a cheaper cable the data transfer rates are for the most part identical. The difference in an audio system is found in the noise generated by the portion of the USB cable carrying the power. This particular cable has seperated the power portion from the data transfer portion and I am genuinely hearing less noise in my system providing much quieter backgrounds and overall hearing my music in a better quality then I have for the last year. So while the price is high if you are serious about the sound quality of your system and you have or stream hi res music through good hi fi gear this cable is absolutely worth the money. However if you are streaming mp3s through bose or beats or some lower end senns or beyers or something just pass on it. The better the quality of your gear the more flaws you notice and have to compensate for.

cant tell you how good it is
I was thinking whether to invest in such an expensive cable especially where there was such a raging debate about how effective these cables are. Well i took the plunge after using a audio quest (forest) cable that lasted a year and it was worth about 40 dollars. Now i went in for the 120 dollar cable and my word! I am blown away! the sound on my Quadral m4 speakers, running cambridge audio 740A, through a ASUS essence one DAC, is currently blowing me away as i write this review. the speakers and sound sounded real good on the audioforest, but on the starlight, its a another story! details, highs, mids, lows, all enhanced and i am examining my speakers as if they are brand new. about a 20 percent improvement in my 10,000 dollar rig....amazing and truly worth the money. i thank amazon for carrying this wire and of course wireworld for making it. keep it going and when i get enough money, ill buy the platinum usb as i upgrade my rig! no doubt an amazing improvement in quality! dont listen to the printer cable usb boys. welcome to the world of men.

Good cable but didn't like my system
Positives: Build quality looks good, cable arrived quickly and was well packaged. Compared to the generic USB cable I've been using this one firmed up the low end making bass notes much more precise and helped lower background noise.Netatives: Sound stage collapsed, instruments blended together, higher frequencies were noticeably less detailed and rolled off.I wanted to like this cable having read many positive reviews, however, it didn't mesh with my system (Emotiva power, Benchmark DAC, Wharfdale speakers). I'll give some other USB cables a try.

Excllent Value
This cable represents an excellent value for those who want to upgrade the sound of their digital music systems. I was skeptical that a premium USB cable would really make a difference, but I thought I would give it a chance. The results were impressive. I'm using it between a MacBook Pro/NAS system and a premium USB capable DAC and it really has made a tremendous difference in terms of clarity of the sound, soundstage, etc. in my system.

Glad I did
They say there's really no differnce becasue it's all 1's and 0's. I say they're wrong. I was using one from my printer and then got this: WOW! A HUGE difference. wireworld starlight 7 usb digital cable
I tried 4 other USB cables for settling for the wireworld starlight 7 usb digital cable. It is a very neutral cable, with a clear precisely sound, excellent height and depth, very good width in soundstage. Matter of fact, that was its biggest puzzlement how it can have such great height. But only be very good in one aspect of it's soundstage. An excellent choice for everything but a dry analytical sound system (Try Cardas, in roughly the same price range, more mellow and heavier but less defined bass, with not much of a loss anywhere else). I would not have belived the difference if I had not tryed the other cables, there is a marked difference.Do not worry about the connection problem, simply inform wireworld that you want the locking dimples reduced or tell them the DAC that you are using. It works out quite well. Run in cables about 100 hours.WaynesystemBenchmark DAC 2, JC 2, Cary 120s,Sony 5400 EX,PROAC D28, all balanced Kimball interconnects, except for Clear Audio Phono, dedicated Intel 3 i laptop, JRivers and Benchmark software etc.

I have been very satisfied using this high quality cable to connect my iMac ...
I have been very satisfied using this high quality cable to connect my iMac to my Exogal DAC. Generally speaking this manufacturer makes great cables that are well constructed and work well. I would strongly question people who claim to hear the differences among cables (as long as they are not the cheapest out of the box ones) and spend ridiculous amounts of money on them. This level of Wireworld cable should suffice for reasonable people.
