What is the best way to connect the monitor to a new macbook pro? display to usb-c port, hdmi to usb-c or dvi-d to usb-c?

My monitor is connected to my iMac probably the same for the laptop. From the set up paperwork, Number 2 connect. From the monitor, display port to mini display port thunderbolt. For color calibration, SS USB to USB. I would like to add that I'm using new software. Capture One Pro. Communicates directly with the monitor for color calibration. Very pleased with the output from my printer.

Will this work with a new studio mac ultra pro with the m1 chip? some mac compatible devices do not work with m1 chips

Colin, I have the Eizo CG2420 connected to the basic model Apple Studio computer at 32 gig with 2 terabyte Storage. The Eizo works very well with the computer. I like the shade screen. I had not thought in the past a shade screen is needed but I can now see it is a good thing to have. This is my third Eizo and all three have been perfect. The last one lasted 10 years. I suppose it lost some of its luster but the images were still good enough for photo editing, something that is part of my work. I did much reading about other top end displays but I am glad I continued to stay with Eizo.
