Quality is good and used it on my magnetic board , glides easily and projects the lines brilliantly! Definitely recommend esp if one is working on big pattern/design

Better than expected
After reading the reviews, I was prepared to return this. I am pleasantly surprised by how well it works. It magnifies a decent sized block of text, and the length is adequate for most of the books I'm currently reading -- it seems perfect for most standard sized pages. Overall I think it will be helpful -- even with reading glasses, I need a little extra help with very small text these days. I'm not sure if I'll use the smaller one -- it is quite tiny, but the price is worth it for the larger piece alone.

Taller but not wider
These do magnify a whole line of text, but what I didn't know is the magnification makes the text taller but not wider.
