Think it can climb stairs?

No. It's too small for that, unless you build some model stairs to smaller scale. There's not much track on the floor at one time. Even a steep ramp would probably make it flip backwards.

What is the diameter of the axle. Or the hole in the drive "wheel"?

The drive axle is measuring at around 2.9mm on my calipers, so roughly 3mm. It is hexagonally shaped, and that was a measurement from flat side to flat side. Corner to corner would be very slightly wider.A quick measurement of the diameter of the hole in a drive wheel gave me 3.04mm.

Is there a way to steer it like a left and right motor function? Looks like its just 1 motor via a gear box to both sides so no way to stop one side

Yes and no. I bought this after I put together the tracked vehicle. Tamiya 70168 Double Gearbox L/R Independ 4-Speed. That way you can skid steer it.

Does anyone have the actual length and width specs of the assembled tracked vehicle?
