charges up fine, but doesn't charge anything
device was DOA. charges up fine, but doesn't charge anything. tried multiple cables, button pressing only to determine it was a dud. worst part is I had a friend of mine fly down with it from California to Hawaii. which means i can't return it via shipping it back.GO GET ANKER.

Great Efficiency and Great Design!
Portable chargers are really useful in nowadays world as we take our technology everywhere. Sometimes a small one will cut it, however, in other scenarios using a large capacity charger in necessary.LOOK AND FEEL: There is a complimenting black and red theme to this charger and I like it quite a bit. There is also a really nice modern tetris style design on both ends of the charger and I think that it looks really nice and it adds a lot to the design. The shape is also very ergonomic to hold in the hand and it is just the perfect width to hold lightly while you are using the charger. Despite the body being plastic it is very solid and I have no doubt that this product will be able to hold up to stress and shock if it needs to.FEATURES AND FUNCTIONALITY: This charger is great to take around everywhere and definitely holds to the portability it needs. The charger fits almost anywhere such as in a purse and in a bag which is what most people have when going on long distance trips or such where a large charger like this would be used. While it can't fit in your pocket comfortably, one would most likely be using this charger other than just a day to day circumstance. It is not bad in size and weight for the monstrous 15,600 mAh battery which it holds. However, to look at how much this battery could really charge I did a test to see how much it outputted after a single charge. Usually, a portable charger has an efficiency of about 80-85% as some energy is lost to heat and other energies. After performing my test I was able to see that the output was 12,630 mAh. This means that it has an efficiency of about 81% which is great! It can charge a Samsung S7 about 4-5 times and an iPhone 6s about 7-8 times. Considering that a person charges their phone an average of one time a day this portable charger can last quite a while. The output of the charger is 2.4A which is the standard in the phone charging world and it also supports fast charging to my surprise. I was able to charge my Nexus 6P using rapid charge without a problem, and faster charging is always good. This charger comes with one USB port which is my only critic because having multiple charging points is useful to me and I prefer it. To charge the device you use a Micro-USB cable with a 2A-2.4A charging speed and it charges up in about 7-8 hours, which is expected with a charger this large. One think that I liked a lot is that the manufacturers included 2 Micro-USB cables: One for charging the portable battery and another for charging a device with it. I also tested the LED and while it isn't as good as a flashlight it definitely works in a pinch if you need some extra light or the power goes out. If it was necessary, one could walk at night using the included LED light to illuminate the way. It is easy to turn on with a double tap on the power button. The indicator seems to be accurate and is useful to see the power left quickly with 4 LED's that represent 25% of charge each.tl; dr: If you are in need of a good, high capacity portable charger then this is a great choice to go with and I recommend it to you. The look and feel is nice and the battery is aesthetic and fits in the hand nicely.
