Over 15 years of pen perfection
I have been using these as my primary pens for around 15 years. I am a psychotherapist so I do a ton of writing by hand and need comfortable pens that also photocopy very well. Quality control had gotten a little lax in the last few purchases, so sometimes a cap doesn’t stay on the end while you’re writing, and yes sometimes the bottom seal around the inkwell leaks (which only happens to me when the pen has been flexed, like at the bottom of a heavy purse or I’ve sat on one in bed, 99% of the time these are on my desk or in a pen cup so it’s maybe one in a dozen or two that I break). I love that these are thick enough to comfortably grip without cramping or hand fatigue, the ink is bold and smooth so I can write fast and long with minimal pressure, and the ink rarely bleeds through any paper I’m using (thin receipts and Bible thin papers (less than 75 gsm will leave a shadow on the backside of the page. I usually am using 20lb copy paper/printer sheets or 100 gsm journal/bound notebook pages). To avoid the loose cap/stiff spring issue I test a new pen before throwing away my last pen and I keep the cap that works the best. I rarely ever smear the ink because it dries so fast. These pens also have a long write length or ink capacity. I have tried other gel ink pens that I could empty a pen in a single day. These can last me a couple of weeks. These are the type of pens that when someone borrows it they usually ask me where I got them because they like them too. I’ve never had one dry up or gunk up before I used up all the ink. I rarely ever see gunk on the tip of the pen or feel the need to wipe it off. So if you can keep them protected from bending/flexing/torsion then you should have a good experience.

OBSESSED
I have been using this pen for the last 10 years. They're durable, reliable, and last a long time. They're smooth with nice ink flow. I usually like bold or medium tips, but the ink flow is so generous with this fine tip it's still amazing!

One of my favorite brand of pens
One of my favorite brand of pens. I use these often on flash cards. Fits them well. However, I do not use these pens to write on notebook papers. The ink is just too heavy, and will seep through it. It will end up looking sloppy and hard to read. I tend to write a lot, and these pens never let me down. I have always hated when pens don't let out any ink, after some time of not using them. These pens have never done that to me. I can let it sit there for over a year, and as soon as I start writing, the ink will appear.Edit: Also, I know there are only 10 in the picture. I had already used up 2 that had lasted me months, haha.

Hit or miss on quality
I’ve been using these pens for at least 5 years. I don’t remember having too many explode over that period of time (I usually buy a pack of 12 for a year with how much I write). However, this most recent pack, I’ve had 5 out of 6 begin leaking ink. I know there have been SO many times that I’ve used the pens until they ran out, so I’m very disappointed with this most recent box having so many issues.I’m not sure if this was a fluke or a new quality issue, but I hope that staples gets it fixed. These pens are my favorite and I love how they write and draw. However I may have to find a new favorite if these keep leaking and busting.

Great product at a great price
Love these pens. It's hilarious to me that they are cheaper on Amazon than on Staples' own website, but whatever. I first ran into these pens because my office uses them. They have a really smooth flow to them, and I like both the black and the blue colors. They bleed through a little more than some of the more expensive pens, but I don't mind that. I also really like that they are wider, which makes them more comfortable to grip without my hand getting tired. The ink lasts a pretty long time, so I will not need another box of these for a while.

MY FAVORITE PENS OF ALL TIME
These are truly the only pens that I write with.. I used to buy 3 packs at a time from staples just because I needed a back up. To be honest I havent found any dupe for these (not that I want to) but I'm an avid stationery hoarder and pen fanatic.. everybody loves inkjoy or piolt pens but ball point pens are just not for me lol... gel is cool but I need you to work, I dont need my pen to skip as I'm writing school notes or fade out as write notes from a 60 slide lecture deck so Optiflow or any type of LIQUID, roller ball pen is defintely my go to. Yes.. she does leak sometimes.. I do find that happens with certain pens from a pack not all and I chuck that up to manfacturing issues for some pens.. but other than that! you'll love her.. oh. if you don't use thicker paper, she will bleed through.Pictures to uploaded later
