I play violin in a local volunteer orchestra. The orchestra is comprised of adults who are just learning and folks like me who grew up playing, almost became professionals, then changed course, but have now returned to play just for fun. We rehearse for several weeks, then go "on tour" around the community, playing in retirement homes and Alzheimer's units.Sometimes, we play in locations where the lighting leaves a bit to be desired. For the most part, I do okay - I'm in my mid-40s and I can see the music without any difficulty. But my standmate is in his late 70s, and he struggles to see in the poor lighting locations. Several of our players use lights like this on their stands, and I finally decided to try one out so I can surprise my standmate this fall season.Pros:- Clip is strong, but not TOO strong, so no damage to the stand.- Two different lighting settings - regular bright and bright bright - and each head can be on a different setting.- Works with USB plug and/or AAA batteries- Heads are super-flexible and adjustable.- Works for music stands and books alike!Cons:- Plastic has a slightly cheap feel.- Uses AAA batteries, which isn't ideal- USB cable isn't super-longI honestly don't have much negative to say about this product. Brighter than I was hoping, actually. I wanted something more subtle. This book is so bright that it'll light up the whole side of the room. Not for discreet book reading in bed when you have a spouse sleeping.

Ok, I only paid $8.99 for the light and now it's $30.99! As you can see from the picture one light is out. The cord stopped working after one week and I can only use batter's now. I have had the light for some time now and it is nice but not worth what I paid ($8.99) for it at the time and I was going to buy one online today but there is NO way I would pay $30.99 for the light. I also got another one for the wife but it stopped working after three weeks and she tossed it in the trash ( and the cord too ?? ).

Pleasantly surprise. I bought the light to help me while I am on my laptop, while at the same time not have to turn on an overhead light. The dual light works great..on focuses on the extra monitor and the other on the laptop. It's attached to the extra monitor, so practically in the middle... Glad I took time to search, as I got rewarded.

Helpful at my keyboard yet one could wish for a bit more brightness. Still, space -shippy looking and fun!

Great powerful light, love that I can adjust how may I turn on and how bright it is. Wish the clamp was a bit bigger.

Great map lights, I use them in my truck & they work great. Long battery life or can be powered with the supplied cord. I use batteries so I can use them with the ignition off. Overall they're a perfect fit for my rig, gives me extra light where & when I need it. Nice Set up !!
