Best Value for the Money
It was sharp. But I made it super sharp in 3min.This is a great butchers knife.1. Just make sure you rub some mineral oil on the handle and or butcher block wax to keep the wood moist.2. Make sure you dry it after you wash it.I keep reading people complaining about rust. This is a carbon blade. If you dry it after you wash it it will be fine and last you for a lifetime.3. The blade will naturally create a patina (discoloration) due to the contact with different types of food. This is normal it’s not a defect. You can slow the patina down by whipping some mineral oil or tsubaki oil on the blade. This won’t prevent patina from forming but it will slow it down.

Great for project. Needs some mods
This is a really cool knife, but your not going to be happy with it right out of the box.Doesn't come very sharpMine had a very loose handleBut. I bought it to make a better knife out of it. It's great for that. I put canvas micarta handles and a mustard patina and added a lanyard hole. All in a few hours. Now it's a freaking great knife!!!

Good knife for the money.
American made, but I do wish it was a little thicker and had a better finish.

A must have!
These come dull. One of these cut meat better dull than a sharp knife from big blue. No idea why. It will rust if you let it so wash it by hand, get it good and dry then wipe it down with cooking oil and store it in a k-bar sheath. You don’t have to get the best one, but personally I do prefer leather.

Great knife; incredible valuable; Highly recommend.
Outstanding! What a knife - and for less than $15! Arrived as promised and I was pleasantly surprised. Sharp to begin with, but after hitting it with a sharpening steel for a couple of minutes, it's perfectly sharp. I really bought it for a woodcraft knife and after seeing that it's better than I expected, came back and purchased a sheath for it. My real purpose was/is for a woodcraft knife. It's great for battening some fire wood. However, after getting it and trying it out in the kithchen my wife and i south like it too much to let it go. I'll have to order another one quickly for woodsman use.For those who complain about stains, rust, etc. it's a carbon steel knife. These blades sharpen and hold an edge better than any stainless stuff you'll use. Wash it; dry it (well); and if needed, wipe a little oil on it. Any kind will do - vegetable oil for kitchen use.Great knife; incredible valuable; Highly recommend.

It’s as good as you make it
Out of the box this knife is solid but it is infinitely customizable to make it the best knife for you. If you want a project that you can take in the woods the rest of your life get it

Stear clear
I ordered this knife based on two ideas. One, that many propose it as a cheaper bush craft knife. Two, that at the very least it 9 od be a good kitchen knife. Even among the cheapest knives I have purchased (many) this was the dullest out of the package. It is very flexible like that of a fillet knife. I see no way this could do anything other than be a kitchen knife. Better in bushcraft than nothing yes. Better than a stone knife perhaps. But after spending years in the woods I would bring any other kitchen knife I have in the woods, or to a kitchen before this one. Extremely disappointed and will not be buying more knives from thus company ever again. If it's too cheap to seem legit, it is not legit. Like I said better than nothing but only by a small margin. I would sooner sharpen a butter knife and make that my primary kitchen or bushcraft knife. Sorry to be negative but that's the truth.

Worth the price
Great solid high carbon knife. The blade was hair shaving sharp and actually slightly thicker than I was expecting. I've watched videos and read plenty reviews before hand, exactly what I was expecting. Its a great value for the money.Only con was the one I received had a damaged tip on it from manufacturing, these things happen. Sending it back for an exchange right away. Can't wait to start modding this fella.
