These watercolor paints are beautiful to use on black watercolor paper. Not good on white paper.

This is labeled a 24 set but it only has six colors and matches the photo. The label on the box of six paints says 24 colors when you receive it. Besides the fact you are not getting a different product than what the item says i did find the six colors very nice. When you paint with them they will be a milky white and later dry and the colored mica will dazzle. If you want to order a product that tells you that you are getting 24 paints and can be happy only getting 6 go for it.

I purchased this set specifically for brush lettering. I don't have much experience with iridescent watercolor (therefore don’t have anything to compare it to) but the shimmer and pigment in these paints are gorgeous. It’s a bit tricky to get a consistent flow to prevent puddles of condensed color, but i think it’s more user error than product flaw. I’m optimistic it will get better with practice.Worth noting: it needs to be used on black paper for best results. It is hardly legible on brown craft paper and on white paper, the color interestingly isn’t what it should be. (For example, the sapphire blue looks bronze, though it does have a pale blue hue when light hits it—see pics.) Even in black paper, it needs light to be hitting it at a certain angle for the colors to truly pop; otherwise, the colors are muted. (Again, see pics.)I used a size 3 watercolor brush for the lettering. My favorite color is the jade green—such a beautiful color.
