A Great blade BUT.
Will to start with I've used you can it for 2 days on the wood pile as a knife it is a beast and very solid handle fit my hand great both left and wright hand . You can do fine things and brutalize other things splits like an hatchet . Now to the dislikes. The sheath is okay sitting aside the fact there is no way in hell to secure your blade rattles around in the wood sheath like a bags of nuts on your hip . This is the number one problem what good is a great cutter if it bounces out of it's house . I know the sheath is traditional there has to be something there not doing to this seath . the belt loop is made of some sinthitic something that stains the good looking sheath .So I have replaced it already with leather belt loop and blade retaining snap closure easy for me I make my own sheaths the normal guy or gal is going to have problem . I don't like saying this but the wormanship other than the blade are 3rd world very sloppy crude how ever I discribe it it is not good . Same thing goes for the 2 small knives and yes I know one is a sharpner but not for me . All in all believe it or not I love this knife and will be getting the 10 inch also I've been buying knives for ever and I'm 75 now and still going, the 3 things that grab me is the recurve blade it has alaways been my favorit and they do a good job with it and of course the 5160 steel one of my favorite beasty steels . I will wait untill the 10 inch gets here to do the clean up on the handles and the 2 small blades . It will take some work o clean them up the handle but it's fun for me I love it, most would not .I do like the knife and most knife lovers would also it was sharpe out of the bof I did not touch anything just went out ans stared chopping and carving and no it does not need to be reshrapend still sharps and the onlt wood i used was very old euc hard and tuff about 7 years old .

Very nice kukri ...
I've always wanted to get a "real" kukri, for no other reason than I think they're cool! I didn't know what to expect, considering these are 'handmade' and subject to flaws, etc., compared to the "production quality" versions anyhow. I was pleasantly surprised though when I got this one and looked it over. Appears to be very well made and functional - the blade is straight, evenly ground, the handle scales are nicely matched, no cracks, no imperfections. The sheath is also well constructed, looks handmade, but not "sloppy", not too stiff, and the blade is relatively easy to remove, while still fitting snugly. It's not hair-shaving sharp, but that is to be expected. It's a bit smaller than I expected, but that's not a problem. This one was 30-dollars cheaper than the 10-inch version, so I figured it wasn't worth the extra money for such a tiny difference. The only thing I'm not too crazy about are the finger grooves in the handle. It's more of a "one size fits most" grip ... I can almost wrap my hand around it, but the grooves don't line up exactly where I'd like, so it's not super-comfortable for me to hold anyhow. It may be a better fit for someone with larger hands, for example. It's easily a 4.5 star kukri ... rounded up to 5. I'd have no problem buying another, most likely a 'plain' handled version though, with a larger blade.

Excellent knife
This knife was was made way better then I expected. It came in sharp and very well consistent from one side of the blade to the other side as well as the handle. Very happy with it. I took it out to my hunting ground to check it out to see how well it worked and how well it would stand up to chopping. This knife will last forever and does what it is meant to do as well as it suppose to do. The sheath also fit very well. The 2 small knives that came with it will serve me well also. I would not hesitate to buy this one again from the maker of this knife. I am a kind of a guy that is very picky about quality. This knife passes my test. A++

Mini-Me : You and me can get through anything!
A pleasure to do business with, were very helpful and eager to please the customer. Shipping was super-fast. The Khukuri was impressive, very good quality and sharp and beautiful. Solid, balanced and good craftsmanship. The handle was comfortable and makes for a good grip. The sheath also is very good. I am very happy with my purchase and the price. I bought several other Khukuris together with this one, and my review applies the same to all the other models I purchased. I will definitely buy again from this seller, and recommend to anybody. This specific Khukuri is a must for campers, survivalists, collectors and is good for all uses including gardening and even self-defense. You will enjoy it. I have used it for chopping smaller-sized wood and it is very powerful. Fun to chop with. It's a nice size for a smaller knife, it will get the job done. The fullers on the blade make it very strong. The grip handle is very good.

A truly beautiful knife
I used for 4 hrs yesterday cleaning up split firewood, was as sharp as when i started. I spent couple of hours cleaning up some of the rough edges and polishing to mirror finish. Cant wait to shop for a larger knife for household self-defense and display.

Terrible handle
The blade came Sharp, and all around it is an impressive knife but the quality of the handle and everything in between is pitifully bad. Part of the handle assembly came loose and the plate holding the wood grips together was so sharp that it hacked up my hand and I didn't even realize I had been cut until I looked at it. This is definitely going back

Well built, perfect size
Just the right size for saddlebag or vehicle toolbag….smaller than most but still a beast, love the handle shape...

A durable tool that will last a lifetime.
Well made and fully functional , hand crafted and only needed some light sanding on the grip and I stained the wood then waxed it too a nice sheen. Feels great in the hand and blade geometry was excellent.
