Dog hates it but it does great getting out matted hair. Just don't let the dog see it before you use it.

It is a great grooming brush. My dogs love it, especially the one with the shortest hair guess it feels like a massage for them.

I received this product in exchange for my unpaid honest review.First off, the packaging was very simple and easy to open. I really liked that. The instructions in the back, however, are a bit confusing (at least the English-- I don't read Chinese) mostly because it's a bad translation. "Well affect on the hairy pets"? A better way to say that is "Works nicely on very hairy pets" because most pets are hairy, and why you bought the comb in the first place. The handle is a nice grip, and I love the color/design.The comb has two sides to the steel hooks; on one side it has six bristles, the other side eleven, allowing for a closer, tighter brush.I have a Lab-mutt which means she's short hair and big. When I was done brushing her, i had a large pile of hair at my side. So it's function is working. perhaps a bit too well. I was as gentle as possible to my dog, but as I dragged the brush along, I could feel it ripping the fine under hair from my dog's skin. Ouch! She wasn't complaining, but I could tell it was uncomfortable for her. Another downside is that the comb is too small. I would prefer a wider brush, especially since I have a large dog. The size is good for smaller dogs.I like this brush only in the summer, to help my dog remove excess hair to help her cool down. I would not use this in the winter or in places where it's always cold. So it's less of a brush, and more of a shedder

I purchased this grooming tool as well as another one by the same company. I have 2 dogs a lab and a German Sheppard. This worked great on my German Sheppard and really helped to remove the large amount of hair that he looses. We have found that we use this tool once or twice during his shedding. I would not say that this is for daily use but it is a great tool for us to have. None of my dogs have tangled or matted hair so I can't say how it will work on them. The packages were very easy to open and the instructions (English) version do not translate well and can be difficult or confusing to understand and that is the reason for the 4 stars. Overall the amount of hair this tool collects and the ease of using it is great. The handle is easy to grip and doesn't hurt after holding it for a while. I was able to purchase this Dog grooming tool for a discounted price or for free. All of my opinions above are based on my own personal experience with the tool and nothing else.
