The material used to make the gasket, especially the one that went around the pump was flimsy and a bit too large to fit. We got it in but it leaked.

Beware Hayward 1 hp super pump owners! This kit does NOT fit any models starting with a “C”! The housing gasket is too tall and leaks like a strainer!My model # is a C48K2N143B1.

All the gaskets fit as they should with the exception of the lid gasket, which is too big to fit correctly.

I have replaced may hayward pump seals before (6 yrs ago) and had no problem. Purchased these seals and found the spring seal kept getting stuck in the compressed position when i screwed it back onto the motor shaft. Took it apart 3 times and used a screw driver to get the spring to pop open again, then tried a silicone lube to allow it to move more freely to no avail. I would not purchase this one again.

I bought this kit for the lid seal. It isn't the original width and doesn't stay in place when you clean out the filter basket. I wish I left the original one in.

Do not buy, it leaks more than before the repair!
