Q: How do you use the launcher? It won’t stay wound up. There’s no resistance.

Engage the center flat piece of the launcher in the center ring of the top and turn clockwise. The fingers will click to hold the tension. Position top for launch and push center button to release. But, if you turn it the wrong way the fingers that hold the tension will break off, or if you over wind it, the spring will break and you’ll lose resistance. After my 1 year old played with them, the fingers have all broken off, but I’ve learned to wind it without their help and keep him entertained, so it’s still usable. Check if you’re spring broke or somehow arrived missing?

Q: Please sell me some spare winders! The little kids love the tops but the winders keep breaking, I'd give you $25 for a set of 5 spare winders.

That’s a great idea. Our grandkids love the tops too. Extra winders would be a great help.

These are the best I've found on Amazon. But it's too easy to over-wind the launcher and break it. Within just a few days my 4yo son overwound it and it broke.

I don't know if there is a new launcher. However, the children I gifted it to, ages 6-8, had no problem with launching the toy.
