Q: Are the sleeves lined as well or just the body of the shirt?

The sleeves are quilted not lined with same material as body

Q: The size chart has L size sleeve length at 34.5-35"! My average guy arms are 23.5" from the top of the shoulder to the top of the thumb-what the heck?

I'm not sure what the numbers, 34.5" - 35", mean. (Not a seamstress, either!) When I measured the sleeve just now, it was between 23.5" and 24". (It depends where you hold the tape on the shoulder seam.) Hope that helps you!
