Used to make tee nuts for my CBC table. Printed holder on 3D printer then inserted these nuts.

i finally got around to trying these, and they work great. one of the things i really like about this set is that it's got many sizes. you never know what you're going to need, but you can usually find it here. i also specifically bought parts that had the diagonal pattern on the body. it grabs the plastic really well. much better than anything that is just straight all the way through.

These are awesome for integrating with my 3D prints. I've used them multiple times now to make sure that a connection between various things is strong and or used them when I wanted to be able to take something apart later rather than having to commit to using super glue. Get yourself some of these, as well as the solder/hot knife attachments to easily install these and you won't regret it.

Holds solid and I couldn’t get any of them to just pull out when scrapping a printed part that didn’t work out exactly how I wanted. Had to break the surrounding print. And the inserts still look brand new. I just measure the od at the inserts bottom. Drill to that size and push them in with a soldering iron set for 180 for pla and 200 for pla +

These are fantastic! Turn on a soldering iron, place insert in hole or on soldering iron, wait a little bit, press into hole and bam! Bob's your uncle you got a usable insert in your 3D print. It takes a little bit of practice to get it to sit perpendicular with your part but the simplicity and strength is unbeatable.

The thread pattern on these seems to hold much better than the other types I’ve tried. It definitely helps to use 100% infill in the area they’re being installed into. But, as long as you do that, they can handle a lot of torque and take a lot of force before being able to pull out - often seeing plastic failure before the insert released.

I’ll admit I was skeptical at first but after some testing I’m impressed. I’ve tried them in PLA printed parts and PVC fittings. They went in easy and almost defied the laws of physics with their holding power.

I like the variety of thread length you get with this kit.
