Worth it
Easy install, Jeep sounds great and I definitely noticed the extra power.

It's not a turbocharger. But it helps with acceleration
It is definitely not a major increase in power. It really just helps with acceleration. It also has a washable air filter. You won't have to buy another air filter again. This is easy to install. Minimal experience is required, and always check over everything before you start your vehicle. It changes the sound of acceleration as well. Not loud. But it is different. I highly recommend pairing this purchase with the wash/oil kit from K&N. It's about 15 dollars but will last you for 8 to 10 years easily. That's all those years without buying a throw away filter.

Defective intake tube.
The intake tube arrived with zero orifices to put the gromets for installation of air temperature sensor, crank case vent hose or humidity sensor. Will update review once Customer Service center contacts with solution.

Great sound and look. Increased throttle response.
High quality product as always from K&N. Built well, easy install and sounds awesomely loud at engine rpms over 2200 to redline. Not something you would want if you like your Renegade to be quiet! Puts a smile on my face everytime I tip heavy into the throttle. The sound alone makes it worth the price! Does increase the throttle response and seems to help the transmission shift quicker. Up next, Magnaflow cat back exhaust to really make the neighbors mad at a cold start up! If your Jeep can't be fast, at least make it fun!

FIts 2016 Fiat 500X AWD 2.4L
I bought this to install on a 2016 Fiat 500X AWD 2.4L, which is the EXACT same engine configuration as found in a Jeep Renegade 2.4L. It fits perfectly, all mounting holes and hardware line up, and the wiring extension worked as well. Noticeable improvement in acceleration, but there are a few drawbacks:1. This intake is about 5 times louder than the original one, so it may not be for everyone. You can even out the loudness by also replacing the stock muffler with an aftermarket one to allow more exhaust flow, this worked well for me. But it is still much louder than stock.2. On a Fiat 500X, the crankcase ventilation tube has a quick-connect style connector where it connects to the stock air intake. If you use this K&N kit, you will need to cut off the connector and simply push the tube onto the barbed connector provided. All in all, I still think this kit is worth installing even with those drawbacks. The 2.4L engine already has 2.5" exhaust so when you swap out the stock muffler it flows quite nicely and has a wonderful tone not often heard from a 4 cylinder non-turbo, IMO. I used a standard flowmaster available on here for about $80.

Noticeable!
I read reviews that said you only hear it at 3-4k rpm. I was easily hearing it at 2k rpm, its a nice low rumble and growl, and when you floor it, you really hear it.It has a nicer buildup in power than before, so I gotta say I wish I bought this years ago!

Worst part is you can't see it so the sensor ...
Installed on a 2016 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk.Usually K&N has everything covered for a smooth install, this was anything but smooth. A lot of figuring things out on my own. The way the PCV and temp sensor connect are a joke, just push them through a rubber grommet, they are faced downwards. Heat, vibration, bumps all help to pull them downward, I would think eventually the temp sensor will fall out because there's nothing holding it in place but a rubber grommet. Worst part is you can't see it so the sensor could be dangling right now and I wouldn't know it. Jamming a PCV plastic elbow through a rubber grommet, and pushing your air temp sensor through a rubber grommet is something I expect on a cheap chinese intake, not a K&N. You should have made the intake tube to accommodate the PCV and air temp sensor.MPG - no difference in the last 3 tanks of gasPower increase? Maybe a little bit.Seems to shift smoother.Yes I did a KAM reset. The intake is a lot quieter than I thought it would be, under normal driving and on a flat highway 70-80MPH you can barely hear it unless there's a headwind, even then it's not that loud. Accelerating on the highway or going uphill, you're gonna hear it pretty loud.
