The construction of this products is pretty solid with it being all metal and no plastic. I bought this adapter because it was cheap and readily available. I attached this to a Nikon D3400 and the fit is perfect. There is no play whatsoever between the camera and the adaptor. This adapter then fit into my 1.25" adapter on my telescope with no fitting issues. With the lack of play from this adapter, I am comfortable with attaching this to other telescopes in different locations (on the telescope, depending on the telescope type). I also tried out some filters and the threads work out just like any other name brand product. Just know that depending on the telescope you have you my need an extension tube to focus, or you can use a barlow lens and be fine depending on what you are trying to shoot. Those crazy laws of physics :)

This works as described and is simple and straightforward in use. Only concern I had was the construction material (plastic?) and if it would hold the weight of the camera body which it did. Might be a slight concern with a bigger camera body. Good value for cost.

The product is used to connect my Nikon 5200 DSLR to a 9005 120ST AstroView 120mm refractor also purchased from you.Eventually found a small red dot on the ring barrel to line up with the white dot alignment on my Nikon to twist and lock, took me a while to find it...Red to White lock point. Better to make it white not red I think...more intuitive assembly.Its a good well engineered product with fine threads and a good finish. Happy with it. Just love that Orion refractor.

I like this inexpensive unit a lot.It is solid and I can hang myNikon d800e off the back of atelescope without being afraid itis going to break loose and hit thefloor any second.The only thing that would be betteris if it had a filter slot.

Good for the price little hard to connect into my camera

I did not think I could find a product that would work as good as this dead for the price I paid.

Using on a D5300 for attachment to a C8 telescope for astrophotography. Any misalignment or play will ruin your photos so the fact that this adapter has a good snug fit is critical.

Not sure what happened, but this thing almost became permanently attached to my Nikon D3300. It took me hours to try to remove it. I was absolutely panicked. Once I finally removed it without damaging my camera I vowed to never try it again.
