These are more lightweight and less durable (I think) than a normal pair of glasses you'd purchase with a prescription, but I'm amazed and happy that this is an option! By the end of the day, sometimes my vision is too blurry to see to drive or watch tv without squinting. These are just to have on hand in those situations, so I didn't want to purchase expensive glasses. HOWEVER, for people that need them daily and just can't swing paying hundreds of dollars right now, this will help you be able to see to function! I'm sure they are more fragile than a more expensive pair, but they can certainly help if you can't afford glasses or just need an occasional bit of help. I had purchased a pair of -0.50 prior, and sometimes that's all I need, but that was a different unisex pair, and the frame is too big. If I'm just sitting in one spot watching tv or driving, it will work, but I wouldn't wear them around in public, because they are too loose. If you are woman or smaller person, I'd look for a women's pair like this one. This one fits pretty nicely, because it's not huge.Many years ago, I worked for an opthalmologist and later for two different optometrists--all who dispensed their own glasses. I'm excited this is an option as are "readers." These are the opposite of readers, so don't buy them if that's what you want!! If you don't know your prescription, you can take your current glasses to an optical shop where they can read it for you, or you could call and ask for a copy of your last prescription even if it's too old to fill. You will be looking for the "sphere or spherical" specifications, not the cylinder or axis (that's for astigmatism correction and this won't help that). I'd look for the closest numbers to that. This is probably a godsend for those that are doing without.

I never knew you could get non prescription glasses for distance. After husband lost several pair of prescription glasses, I ordered these and they are great!! He can see perfectly and they look like his more expensive glasses.

I am nearsighted and I wear progressive lenses. When I am doing close work, I am using the bottom range of my progressives, which is a small area. I had contemplated getting an extra pair of glasses with just the bottom prescription. Since I know my bottom prescription, and it is the same in both eyes, I decided to try these glasses. They work well for my purpose and I wear them a lot around the house. The quality of the frame is not great, but the price was right. These only work if you have the same prescription in both eyes. In my case, I had to see what the bottom prescription was. Hope this helps.

Read the reviews which were very mixed. I wanted an extra pair of distance glasses for driving and reading the projector at work meetings. I was trying to avoid using my VSP insurance and getting ripped off by the local optometrist.... You know how it is when you go in there with your insurance and end up paying $250 for a pair of stupid glasses! These glasses fit me reasonably well, look pretty good and give me the exact magnification I'm looking for with very good clarity. Pleasantly surprised. So surprised in fact that I ordered a second pair which is getting delivered tomorrow. I'm not getting paid for a review or any of that @#$&... I'm just having a good experience with these things and so happy to be paying $15 instead of $250!

It’s lovely to be able to purchase these without going to an eye doctor!! I’m light sensitive and I can’t drive or go outside without sunglasses. I would love if they would make them bigger and a little darker like regular dollar general cheap sunglasses. Honestly though? I don’t care how I look. These do the job!! I have never broken a pair, they are very durable, but it’s good to know I wouldn’t cry about if I did. I’m not paying eyeglass store prices. I would highly recommend these!!!

For the price I was shocked at the quality of the manufacturing. I can see everything with them on and the lenses are shockingly accurate in my entire field of vision.

Bought the strongest power -6.0's, and it gave me extremely narrow field of view which was decently crisp, not blurry, but otherwise everything else is blurry. Like just enough to read a street sign, but certainly not safe to drive. I think the PD of these glasses just was not a match. My PD is 62, so these seem to be far from that. Nice construction otherwise, certainly light weight.

Work go for near sighted people with small prescriptions and zero to small astigmatism. Only problem frame kind of small probably good for women and children, I still wear them can’t beat the price for what you get. Instead of paying 2-500 dollars for a fragile piece of eye wear.
