Akoya pearl studs 4.5mm
These baby akoya pearls are as expected. They are similar in size and color, with a slight cream huge. I couldn't fine any stamp on the posts that say they are white gold as advertised or sterling silver. So I can't be sure.

Pearl came off post within 1 week
I bought these for my daughter as a graduation gift. She loved them but within one week one of the pearls came right off the post. Not impressed.

Horribly Mismatched Pearls for a Wonderfully Mismatched Pair
These guys botched my anniversary plans...My wonderful girlfriend was a champ and went to an office party with me. She wore A pearl necklace from her recently deceased Uncle which, by all accounts, she looked smokin hot in. I could tell the necklace meant a lot to her by the way she carefully packed it up in the box the moment we returned home. For our anniversary the following weekend I bought her a set of matching earrings in hopes she will feel surrounded by a halo of love every time she donned the set.I was cutting it close on time. I'm not a monster, we said no presents! I decided to break the rules and go for it. I've also been quoted as saying "I will never buy you jewellery". Generally, I think it's a big waste of money but combined with the power of the pearl necklace, getting her these felt like it would be meaningful.I did my research into pearl types and ratings. Got out my callipers to make sure I wasn't going too big or too small. I looked for a seller with lots of reviews and shipping that would make it here in the next 4 days or less.Unfortunately what I received was one decent earring and the other one was flat as a pancake. I wouldn’t mind so much if they were at least symmetrical but there are obvious difference between the two that my untrained eye noticed immediately. Fortunately, Amazon was willing to send a new pair; Unfortunately, it will not be here until 4 days too late. I will end up giving her the mismatched pair as a placeholder until the other ones arrive. I must say, I’m disappointed I won’t get to surprise her with the AAA earrings I was supposed to get.I would suggest to anyone who has no time for exchanges to buy somewhere else where you can see what you are getting.Maybe she will like them. Their obvious asymmetry echoes our wonderful unlikely pairing. (I’m the pancaked pearl of you’re wondering). She can wear them and remember the time I tried to buy her jewellery even though I said I would never do it. I'll say to her "See! that's why I never do it!" We will laugh. Not what I want of course - but love is a lot of chuckling at your partner's mistake and loving them more for it. At the end of the day, it will be a special memory for us regardless but I cannot recommend this seller.

Smaller and less sheen than a Mikimoto Akoya pearl AAA
I lost one of my Mikimoto pearl earrings so I thought I could replace it with this much more affordable version for $139 a pair instead of $2800 a pair. There is a very obvious difference in sheen and color although they both are AAA akoya pearls. The pearls I received From The pearl source are a lot less sheen. In the picture I posted, you can’t really see much difference but in person there is a huge difference. It’s been 4 years since I’ve had the Mikimoto pearls and I’ve never cleaned them, and they are still much more beautiful than the Pearl Source pearls. The Mikimoto pearl is a size 8.5-9.0. And the pear Source is a 7.0-7.5 that I posted in the picture.
