U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command Great Lakes Illinois Challenge Coin

Bought this for my husband as a Christmas gift. He carries a challenge coin with him everywhere. So I decided to get him this to display in his office along with some others I purchased. He really likes it! It’s weighted and has a nice quality design. It’s a reminder of his service of 10 years to our US Navy!

Awesome detail. I went to USNRTC Great Lakes back in 1970. Brings back the memories of my time there. Something you can pass down to your children and grandchildren to introduce them to your US Navy experiences, starting with Boot Camp. Well worth the price.

The detail and quality of the coin are very good. My only complaint is how small the coin is. In their defense the dimensions are listed clearly. For the cost of the coin, I believe this coin should have been larger and don't think it is a very good value. However, as long as you go into it understanding the given dimensions versus your expectations of what a standard challenge coin is, you won't be disappointed.

The wrong item was sent. Instead of the item pictured , I was sent a Navy challenge coin for a petty officer . It was not the Great Lakes coin as pictured .

Very well made, exceeded my expectations. Bought for my son for his PIR!! I willPut in his keepsake shadow box.
