very good and fun set to put together

I bought this for my grandson and he had a great time building it. The car looked wonderful when he was done.

This model car was thoroughly enjoyed by my 4 year old lego loving grandson! The details were impressive with numerous tiny pieces, producing a very detailed model!

Overall, the build was good, the quality of parts (since it's Lego) is fantastic, the directions are great, and the end product looks like the car it's supposed to look like. I can't say, though, that this is the best car to become a Speed Champions lego set. Heck, I would venture to say that it's not even the best McLaren that didn't have one of these sets. Pretty much every other set in the last couple of years has been great to fantastic - The Lamborghinis are awesome, the Chevy Corvettes and Camaros are really cool, the Aston Martin dual set is probably one of my favorites (both cars were great choices), the Mercedes dual, the Ferraris. I even like the McLarens they've included before this, the Senna and the P1. This one just feels... Meh... in comparison. To each their own, though, if you like the style of the actual car and the looks of this set, it doesn't disappoint in buildability and conversion to Lego form, so you won't be disappointed.

Bought two cars for my boyfriend and I to build and race for date night. This is the one I picked out, it was super easy to build and I had a lot of fun putting it together. As someone who is car-obsessed, getting to pick out an iconic car in Lego form was such a treat. This car also won against his Koenigsegg so if you're wanting to plan a build and race date night of your own, this is definitely a car that's going to win you a kiss.
