Great item important install info in review!!!
Really nice replacement for the 80’s oem that went to crap.I became extremely pleased one I realized that the knobs are only quarter turns. I then realized I wouldn’t have to worry about a leaky valve stem ever again. !!!!!!***** BE AWARE- the hot cold valves open mirror image. YOU HAVE THEM CLOSED WHEN *both are turned counter clockwise. So to turn the hot on from closed you will turn the handle clockwise, HOWEVER, the cold water must be turned counterclockwise to open. ***I say this So that everyone can be sure that both valves are properly closed before returning water to the system.I myself didn’t 😂

Good luck! Your gonna need it for these.
I give it two stars because it lined up and worked as it was supposed to. Also they are sturdy. They don’t bend and flex like most mixing valves. Huge problem though. Maybe it’s an isolated event but I bought two and both were defective! There was a tiny pin hole in both of them in the exact same spot just above the spigot tap. I was able to repair them by filling the holes with solder, but still. I personally will never buy them again. I hate replacing these as it is, so having to do it over because the first one is defective doesn’t fly with me. Can’t risk it.

Finding handles and trim was a challenge
The valve itself went in fairly easily. I didn’t realize the challenge it would be to find trim and handles. The ones linked on Amazon didn’t work. I found these danco ones at Home Depot. Other said try universal ones but for new valves I hate to use universal knobs that eventually strip out. Hindsight I should have just bought the complete kit ( valve, trim, handles, shower head and spout) from big box for 100$. I used this with a delta downspout and another shower head. I spent about the same as a complete kit but it would have saved a bunch of back and forth with Amazon and lowes/hd trying to find ones that work.

Can't always get what you want but you may get what you need....
Just what I needed. Had to replace my failed 20 year old assembly. Since the old valves were leaking and squeeky I emailed Pfister with pictures of the valves to get them replaced under warranty. Funny thing was they sent me new ceramic valves (in less than a week I might add !!) when the original valves/assembly where the compression type with rubber valve discs. So they wouldn't work in my old compression style valve body. But since this assembly was cheaper than buying a new valve(s) and the body was so old I just went ahead and bought this one. So now I have a spare set of ceramic valves on hand. Worked out for the better I think.

Good valve if you have a lifetime to get it installed!
Received this valve on Feb 6, 2016 and installed within the week, Found it dripped and called for Phister warranty which can take over an hour of waiting on hold. Finally when I got a person they were very helpful and sent out new cartridges for the valve. Ten days later they arrived and I installed only to find no difference. They valved leaked at the same rate as before. Called Pfister warranty again waiting over and hour for an response. Obviously the body of the valve was bad and they would ship a replacement. After ten days had passed called Phister warranty again but only took a half an hour to get help. Found out they had changed the model number for replacement and was on back order for a month and when shipped would take another ten days. I have several Pfister valves in the house and had grown to like them but when it takes three months to get a usable tube and shower valve installed it totally changes my perspective of the company.
