There are replacement blades included for the thread cutter but I found the very difficult to snap into place and finally gave up. I am not totally impressed with the longer seam rippers either. The handles are too slim to get a good grip on, aren't very sharp, and they feel flimsy.

Q: Is there a case for the thread nippers, or is there a way to lock them closed?

No case is included for the nipper, and there is no way to lock them closed.

Q: Where can I buy more replacement blades? I sew for a living and go through them quickly, but love these snippers.

This set was not worth it Very cheaple made and did not hold up well.

Q: Do the snippers have a gaurd or covering

No and if you change the blades which they nicely provide it takes patience to learn or it did for me. I find them safe to be in my sewing goods without covers. hope this helps
