Q: Is there a temperature rating on these filters, thinking using with maple syrup at 220 degrees F

Do not know an exact temperature rating but it says it is for fryer grease, you generally filter grease when it is hot for best cleansing and flow. I used mine for mineral oil/chemicals they are thick and heavy duty, very satisfied with them.

Q: In what country are these made?

Ordered because someone said they were made in USA, but they're made in China.

Q: Do you put it in the fryer when cooking or it for after to clean up the crumbs

It is a cone filter for when emptying the fryer

Q: Do you strain when the oil is cooled, or hot?

For best results, drain when the oil is hot.
