I like everything about it so far! My almost 7-year-old hasn’t been a big reader, but he asks me to read him a page or 2 from this book he got for Christmas each night. Most exciting is that he’s into reading now because of this book.

My eight year old loves this book (and all things about sea life). He has been quizzing me about sea creatures and I am learning some new things. It seems to have a broad range of interesting information.

The quality of the binding, printing, and content of this book are wonderful. My five-year-old grandson loves it and it keeps him occupied - and off his iPad! - for hours.

My 7yo son LOVES these Nat Geo Ultimate books. We have Dinopedia, Oceanpedia, and Bugopedia, and they are his favorite books by far. Written so he can understand them, but not dumbed down at all. They're informative, beautiful to look at and set up in a way that you can pick it up and read a few pages, skip around, or spend an hour with them. Great books - highly recommended.

I bought this for my niece's 6th birthday. We had recently taken her to an aquarium and she loved it. I thought the book would be a good addition after our adventure so that she could go back time and time again and read about all the animals & fish that she discovered. The pictures are really beautiful and it's an easy read. Would definitely purchase this again.

The photos were excellent and kept the interest of the kids. A little difficult for the young kids in the family to read.

All the National Geographic books are very informative yet encouraging to read and learn more. The books are great investments for kids and I can guarantee that if read carefully, the kids will benefit a lot in all their lives not only at school. Great intellectualism for kids and teenagers, even for adults. I learn many things from these books as well. We visited several aquariums during the summer holidays and my daughter's knowledge amazed me by giving me lots of information while we were in the museum. Such proud parents here thanks to National Geographic. The books are worth the money.

Was a Christmas gift for my 12 year old. He loved it immediately and has been spending time (away from iPod) going through species and sharing his discoveries with the rest of the family. The illustrations are great and the format is really inviting for kids to learn. Very happy with my purchase. I also bought the Dinosaur version and it’s equally good.

Interesting books, well organized and with nice pictures. My kids keep reading them all the time.
