TacStarWinchester 1200 & 1300 FN TPS (6 Shot) Sidesaddle

This is a great side 4-shot shell side saddle. I do prefer the 4 shot saddle over the large 6 shot saddle and those velcro saddles. I ordered 2 of them and put them on my Mossberg 500 Tactical Persuader and Mossberg Maverick 88. They are my home defense shotguns. It is really nice to have additional ammo when the magazine holds 5 rounds. I have stock saddles that I don't use now as I much prefer the side saddle because of rapid reload. The saddle looks great, fits nicely and strong, holds the shells tightly but not too tightly and is at a good price. Easy to install as well.

Got the package in a timely fashion. Installed easily on my Mossberg 500. Hardware included worked properly. My 500 has the molded rubber fore grip. FYI. Holds the shotgun rounds securely and easily accessible. Happy with the purchase. Design and quality of manufacture seems solid. Price was good. Function tested at the range. Good to go. I’d recommend it.

A great product from a good brand. Solid construction. Its very sturdy and the part that holds the shells is not flimsy at all. It holds the shells tightly but not too tightly as to you not being able to retrieve them easily. It looks mean, instillation took about 3 min tops, and is built to last. There are more expensive products out there that do the same thing for much more money.I got this one because i have a Hogue pump and pistol grip and I heard that a 6 shell holder required modification to the pump. I feel that 4 extra shells at my disposal is a good enough extra peace of mind for me knowing that i did not have to modify the new furniture on my shotgun. I highly recommend this product.This was a great buy, if i had two mossberg 500's right now, i would have two of these.

This is a great shell holder! I didn’t need 6 shells, I’m NOT going to the NORTHSIDE OF TOWN….hehehe…….I just want to stop an intruder. IMHO, this is THE BEST on the market! NOT elastic, flimsy or bendable, just holds the shells securely, without moving or falling out!I LIKE IT!

This is a sturdy product. Easy to install.I originally bought the six-shell version...but it would not work with my Mossberg Flex 500, so I had to go with this shorter four-shell size which works well. The longer one interfered with the forearm when retracted and thus the spent shells would not eject. (Note: the six-shell one works fine on a standard Mossberg 500...I gave my original one to a friend and he installled it and the weapon functions just fine.)It holds the shells snuggly and none have dropped out.

If you're wondering if this product will fit your Maverick 88, the answer is yes (most products for the 500 fit the Maverick 88 nicely.. with the exception of forearm furniture I believe).Pretty quick and easy install on my Maverick 88, but I had to search YouTube to find an instruction video, since the included instructions were really difficult to follow (in my opinion). I'm much more of a visual person, and read over the instructions multiple times before giving up and searching for a video. This company should consider making an installation video for those of us who are more visual people.Side note, you'll probably need a small screw driver or other solid piece of metal to push out the back pin. I had a bit of trouble but eventually got it out.As for the product itself, I think it's pretty nicely made. It isn't metal so you obviously have to exercise some degree of care, but I don't have any reason to believe that and of the holders will snap. It holds the shells just tight enough as to where they won't fall out, but also can be retrieved easily. They do slide around a little bit, but I think that's a good thing. You wouldn't want the shell holders to be over tight.

Fits perfectly easy installation. My total cost Canadian $ was 70 including shipping. Found it two weeks later for forty bucks just down the road from my place. Arg !!!

Fit my mossberg 500 perfectly. Glad I went with the 4 as the 6 would not have fit my model.

Holds target load and 1oz slugs very well so far. Only used once but great so far. Only gripe is that as a left hand shooter, it does somewhat dig into your hand but its only painful when firing slugs. Installed on a 590 mariner. Another issue is that the bolt that replaces the pin leaves a bolt head sticking out about 3mm, its smooth but not flush like the original pin, causing more discomfort when firing as a righty. Last gripe is that the front nut that holds the part on is extremely hard to tighten unless you have a low profile socket because the cutout it fits in is super small. Overall i would recommend it because it does what its supposed to and looks good but i think they couldve designed it better to accomodate leftys as well as designed the front mount nut and bolt much better. Overall good build quality.
