Do they stir thick batters well, or are the tips fairly flexible and too weak for thick stirring? (Like a dense cookie dough,etc)

There's a metal spine on the inside that goes about 1/3 the way into each spatula head. They will stir fairly thick batters and still be flexible enough for the blade to clean the bowl. For really stiff dough like cookie dough, I would use a wooden spoon,

These are the perfect combination of sturdy yet flexible. They are strong enough to scrape cookie batter from the side of the bowl and flexible enough to scrape inside the curves of a jar. Easy to clean and heat resistant. This was a great purchase.

Not a cheap bendable set.

Not a lightweight bendable set. You can definitely tell there is metal in the handle which makes it easier to blend heavier foods. A little bigger than I am used to but not huge. Well packaged and seems high quality. Very pleased.
