Manfrotto TwistGrip Universal Smartphone Clamp

well made and adequate design for my iPhone X. works with standard tripod. Like that it is aluminum and tight fit to be secure when using. Very nice design but a bit spendy but after a grand for the X seems a drop in the bucket. should hold up over time and use but that is yet to be seen

A well made cell phone clamp that folds flat for travel but holds a cell phone securely. I added a manfrotto quick release plate to the bottom of the clamp so I could use it with my Manfrotto tripod and ballhead, as well as a smaller tripod with a manfrotto ball head.I like that this is metal instead of plastic. I like that it fits my other Manfrotto equipment with ease.

I've been using the ST-03 for awhile now and I've been getting less and less enthused about having to use it. For me, I don't have a video camera so using my Iphone X to record 4K video is my best option. The Manfrotto and the ST-03 are easy enough to use, pretty self explanatory. Both mounts accommodate an Iphone X with a lifeproof case however the Manfrotto is barely able to do so while the ST-03 can easily extend another inch. Both mounts feature a cold shoe however the ST-03's design makes mounting a Rode Videomic impossible due to the clamp adjuster being right in front of the cold shoe. The Manfrotto's cold shoe fits the Rode Videomic barely, a little bit of the Rode's foot hangs out of the cold shoe but the Mic has a screw to secure it so it works. Both mounts collapse to a smaller size which makes transporting them easy. The ST-03 is made of metal and has rubber in the clamps to protect your phone, This mount feels sturdy and gives no impression of poor quality. The Manfrotto is made of metal as well with rubber pieces in the clamp to protect your phone, however i'm not a fan of the swiveling parts that transform it into a clamp for your phone. It honestly feels that if I might break the clamp if i'm in a hurry and try to swivel the wrong way.Pros:-The Manfrotto has the better cold shoe-The ST-03 is priced better-The ST-03 can accommodate larger phones and cases-Manfrotto is quicker to deployBOTH:-Secure your phone tightly and protect it with rubber pads-Are easy to setup and useCons:-Manfrotto's price-ST-03 is not as easy to deploy rapidlyIf it wasn't for the name I really don't think the Manfrotto would cost as much as it does. If you aren't going to be using a Mic or light or anything and have no need for the cold shoe, go with the Ulanzi ST-03. If you are going to use a Mic or a light you will want to pay the extra cash for the Manfrotto. If you are going to use multiple things with your phone then go buy a rig. When I wanted to record video on my phone with a mic I had to build a rig to do so, now all I have to do is use this mount. No rig needed. That is exactly why it is replacing the ST-03(and rig) from my bag.

The product is made according to certain sizes of the phone. I have to spend more than 8 minutes slotting my Samsung Note 5 because of the inside rubber grip top and bottom. The twist hinges are very loose and unsteady. Product width too narrow. Should made it wider. Don't feel sturdy as a whole unit. The grip on the phone is strong but when you try slot in a video mini LED lighting in the cold-shoe, the thing will move left and right because of the twist hinges top and bottom. Attached it on a PIXI tripod and I wouldn't feel it is secure when trying to rotate it. Will tip over since the top is heavy. No way to lock the twisting part from moving once you have the grip on the phone. Makes you constantly focus handling the setup instead of focusing on the object you want to capture video or image. It's very expensive for something that is not very well thought off. Made a wrong choice. Prefer those fixed grip that doesn't twist. Bought this because of the cold-shoe on the top.

This mount works PERFECTLY!! The cold shoe mount as an AMAZING feature and its super sturdy. There are a lot of review saying how it's flimsy and the phone flops around. If you read the instructions and pinch the mount where you are supposed to pinch it to tighten, then there is ZERO movement in the phone. ROCK SOLID! You will not be disappointed in this mount if you know how to use it.

the top and bottom parts that twist will slightly shift when "locked". not matter how tight you try to secure your phone in, it will still never be 100% stable. the part the slides and locks your phone is very stable, but the phone will shift because of the twisting parts. You cannot film with this if you plan to hand hold on a tripod or gorilla pod, better use as a table top stand for watching movies or FaceTime. expensive.

Very sturdy and solid clamp. If you have an iPhone 6/7/8 Plus model with an otterbox type case, it will not fit. I had to put the Apple silicone case on instead, and it fit very nice that way.

Zacisk jest świetnie, solidnie wykonany, metalowy. Niestety bajer w postaci rozkładania i składania powoduje dodatkową niestabilność. Chciałem solidny zacisk do astrofotografii smartfonem, więc wybrałem ten metalowy zacisk Manfrotto. Niestety smartfon na zacisku za mocno się buja i zacisk nie spełnia swojej funkcji. Znacznie stabilniejszy jest najtańszy zacisk plastikowy ze sprężynką. Może nadawałby się do zdjęć za dnia, ale na pewno nie w nocy, gdy smartfon robi zdjęcie przez 4 minuty i każde delikatne poruszenie nie jest pożądane. Z tego powodu zdecydowałem się ten zacisk zwrócić. W ofercie Manfrotto jest też plastikowy zacisk bez opcji składania, prawdopodobnie będzie lepszy, dopiero go zamówiłem.

Having bought a new iPhone I wanted to use the camera's advanced features. I discovered that the images were slightly blurred due to movement of the lens. In view of that I purchased this camera holder and attached it to a light travel tripod. It worked first time and suddenly the images are sharp. It is well made and should last a many years.

Habe die Halterung gekauft um mein iPhone 11 Pro Max am Stativ oder Goriller Pod anbringen zu können.Sehr gut und Vorhallen stylisch verarbeitet. Durch das zusammenklappen nimmt es sehr wenig Platz im Gepäck oder in der Hosentasche weg.Stabil und leicht und schaut verdammt gut aus ;-)Absolut empfehlenswert. Wollte kein billiges Teil kaufen, sondern was Wertingen … ich habe das richtige geliefert bekommen.
