So far better than the store bought.
I bought a Ryobi pack a couple years ago. Tools aren't the best but for the price point and using for household chores hit the spot. Then my charger died - ugh - so tracked it down in stores. Price was pretty high considering my closest HD is an hour away. This was a drop in price, delivered to the door, and has been working for a year plus (knock on wood). So if you need to keep your toolset working I'd do this instead of going to the store (unless under the warranty).

Bought two - one failed in just over a year
I bought two chargers. I like the visual cues as to what is going on and, up to a few weeks ago, had no problems with them. Then one failed - no visual indication of why, just doesn't charge anymore.

It looks like the answer is Yes
Other reviewers have claimed that this device did a "miracle cure" of their dead batteries. I had bought, several years ago, a One+ kit that came with a bunch of tools, and two NiCd batteries and a P110 charger. Those batteries both stopped taking a charge at least a year ago; they would indicate fully charged on the charger lights, but would not spin my drill at all. I used my old corded tools for awhile, and then thought I might get some Lithium+ batteries for my One+ tools. That requires the P117 charger. When I saw that people were reporting that the P117 charger made their old batteries usable again, I decided to hold off on buying the Lithium+ batteries and see if my old batteries could be revived. It looks like the answer is Yes. Both of my previously dead batteries have taken enough of a charge on the P117 charger to run my drill with a good amount of force, and to run my hand vacuum for about 2.5 minutes at a good speed, then usable speed up to 3.5 minutes, then after 3.5 minutes too slow to do much good. So I think what I have here is two batteries that will work for short jobs. If I need to do bigger jobs cordlessly I will probably wind up buying the Lithium+ batteries that I now have a charger for.

Excellent charger
One of my original Ryobi chargers had died and I needed a replacement. I came across this version which is an improvement upon the old one I had. This has the smart charging built into it that will maintain a battery instead of just charging it and then shutting off. So far it has worked perfectly and I'll probably be buying another to replace another of the old chargers I have.
