Very pleased. I am waiting for a stove replacement. I bought the single burner, and it is perfect for my purposes. Instead of microwaving hot water for my instant coffee or tea, I can use my tea kettle again. I haven’t yet used it for anything else. The burner heats up very quickly, and can probably accommodate any size pot or pan. It is very solid and sturdy.

We used this to boil water. The pot is 8" across the bottom and 10" inches high. Water boiled with the lid on. Once it came to a boil we left the lid off it no longer had bubbles but the water was plenty hot enough to do the job.As many other reviewer have noted, the entire unit gets hot, including the controls. This is also mentioned in the manual. We're satisfied with the unit and gave one to our niece.

Takes a while for the expected “smoke” to burn off. Takes longer to cool vs our old 1200W hot plate. If you’re using this to make popcorn, this plate may be too hot. Weight is heavier than our previous plate, this item being made of cast iron. Boils water great. 7-setting temp control good.

This hot plate heats up very fast and is compact in size. A good item to have when you need to cook something in a hurry.

Got this for kid's dorm. It's doing a good job.

Recently we we forced into living without a range and even. We bought a toaster oven but needed a element for cooking. I had purchased a 1800 watt 2 element hot plate but it was too slow for bigger pans. With the 1500 watt single element we are very happy. The only complaint is that the markings on the dials faded the first day and needed a permanent marker.

We have a generator which doesn't power our stovetop and ovens so I have been looking for a way to cook when we have a power outage and the generator powers up. This 2 burner stove top with cast iron elements is just what I needed along with a countertop oven, I will be able to cook meals for my family no matter how long the outage lasts.

I bought this for a rental suite. It was used less than 3 months and stopped working. I contacted the manufacturer, as this was the only option Amazon gave me. That was nearly 3 months ago and NOTHING. if I had bought this at a local store, I would have walked in and had it sorted in a day.

I bought this to use with my cast iron pans and steam canner instead of using a glass top stove.Wow, it gets hot! Eggs only need to be cooked on 2. It brings a quart of water up to a rolling boil in a few minutes, and you can easily turn it down halfway to continue the boil. The only negative I can say is what others have mentioned, the whole device gets hot…but this is more when you have it on high for a long time, and like I said, you really don’t need it on max for very long for anything.
