Urban Worm Blanket - Keep Worms Dark, Moist, and Warm - Can Be Cut Fit to Most Worm Bins

I bought this to help stop worms from coming out of my bin and to create a more natural environment for them. I have the upwards migration bin and a worm or two always seem to come out every once in a while. I had to cut this to size but it wasn't super difficult. The worms all seem happy to have this... I find them going in and out of it sometimes.

Bought this for my red wiggler compost bin. I dampened the blanket and put it into the worm bin. When I opened the bin it had a very strong chemical smell. My worms were trying to escape. I took the blanket out and rinsed it many times until the chemical smell was gone. Put the blanket back in and the worms were fine and not escaping. That's why I gave it 4 stars is because of the chemical smell of the blanket.

This particular blanket has to be trimmed to fit the subpod doublesided composter but I'm able to get two blankets out of this purchase if I quik-stitch two odd shaped pieces together after trimming out the first blanket. I have no complaints. Actually more durable and lasts longer than the subpod blankets that came with my subpod, so win-win!

I bought this for my Vermihut after my worms finally ate the blanket that came with the original kit. It was too big (which I knew it would be) but it was easy to cut to the correct size.However, it absolutely REEKED -- just an eye-watering, chemical smell that refused to disperse. It's finally (about a month later) less noticable, and it doesn't seem to have bothered my worms, who are already eating their way through this new blanket. But I keep my worms indoors, so even a month of horrible smells was too much.

Had to air out a few days because it has a strong chemical smell but works leveling in my bin. Easy to cut to size and keeps moisture and heat in.
