Cold war's Past, Today's Problem
This is a comprehensive book in which the authors describe proliferation issues and nonproliferations issues. This is a great reference book to have on nuclear issues as well as biological and chemical threats. The book is detailed to the extent that one would think that some of the material should be classified, because there is a chapter on Russian nuclear facilities which handle nuclear materials, waste mamnagement sites, Russian stategic submarine fleet sites and nuclear test sites are featured. Also China's aresnals are thorougly presented and many others. Iran N. Korea to name a few.The authors describe many of the international network of treaties and agreements construted over the past 50 years. Also there's a chapter on nuclear, biological and chemical materials and weapon systems to deliver them.Overall I enjoyed reading this book, it's a good refernece to have if you want to know about proliferation and non proliferation issues that affect the fragile world we live in.

More of a reference book
You can read this book, but most will use it as a reference. Its the kind of book that is just good to have. When your prof makes you buy it, you will probably feel like you didn't use it enough or that you didn't really need it for the course. When its time to consider selling it, you'll decide to just keep it because it is invaluable as a future reference/resource.

Excellent referrence material for those interested
Anyone that is interested in the topic of nuclear weapons should own a copy of this book. It covers everything to what is a nuclear weapon to who has them. It is not a dense academical work where one only understands every other concept or so. It uses understandable English to discuss the topic of nuclear weapons. There are also many graphs and even a colored map at the end that shows who has what weapon. I look forward to reading the rest of the book and recommend this book to those that are interested in the topic!
