Does it have to use the canister in the same brand? Can I use the canister I bought from supermarket?

I bought Uniware brand. They have the CRV for safety and are $2.50 each if you buy 16 (or 28). Made in South Korea, which I suspect is the origin of several other "brands". https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N3ASNZ5 Several times I've read the cheapest place to get butane canisters is a at an Asian Market but I've never been in one... yet. :) The only economical way to buy fuel online is to buy in quantity. Because of higher shipping costs I suppose.

Does it come with a carrying case?

No. Only the box it ships in. imo, this stove is primarily made for use indoors, and I think that drives the thought a carrying case is not needed. Other models made for outside use, generally have wind break guards around the burner, and they often come with a carrying case. This Iwatani stove comes with a case - "Iwatani Corporation of America 35FW Butane Stove, Medium, Metallic", and the "Iwatani Cassette Feu VA-30 Portable Butane Stove 12,000BTU " also comes with a carrying case. That are listed here on Amazon. Iwatani Group (イワタニグループ) or Iwatani Cassette Fu Co., Ltd. (イワタニカセットフー株式会社) in Japan - makes several cassette/portable stoves (カセットこんろ) models that come with a carrying case. But Iwatani Corp. America does not import all models they make, or sells models here made in Japan, but not made for the Japanese market. I believe one more of the "Gasone" brand models comes with a carrying case. Can it be used outdoor?

Yes, as long as it's sitting on a sturdy surface and it's not too windy. I do it all the time when frying fish.
