Great little readers however the entire sentence on each page throughout the book is repetitive rather than just the sight word, eg page one says "Ant goes TO the picnic", page two says "Ant goes TO the banana". I found this hindered my child's learning ability to recognise the actual sight word as he started memorising and predicting the whole sentence rather than reading the individual word. For eg, he knows the sight word TO but doesn't yet know the word GOES, however he would start reading "Ant goes to... " automatically. Would have been better if the sight word appeared differently in various sentences forcing the child to recognise the word rather than repeat the entire sentence.

My 5 year old son is in kindergarten & loves these books. He looks forward to the end of the page activity & he is slowly learning to actually read. Great purchase .

These are great to build the reading confidence of young readers. It's easy for them to use pictures as clues for words, and once they read the book, they want to read it to everyone - the dog, the parents, siblings. It just starts a cascade of reading. I like that the books are short and there are a lot in one kit.

Each book has 4-6 pages with one sentence each which repeats same flow making easy for a child who is learning to read.

My son loves to read these books and now points out sight words as wee read other books together we stated using these 6 months ago and we only work on these when he is interested in doing so. He just turned 5. Highly recommend and go at your child’s pace.
