Q: Will this work on clubs with square grooves?

Yes! GrooVex works for any and all groove geometries. The "spin engine" of any groove is the edge. A sharp, consistent groove edge is what "grabs" the cover of the ball and makes the ball spin. The cavity of the groove (square, V, etc) helps to evacuate material (grass, dirt, sand, etc) at impact allowing the edge to make clean contact with the cover of the ball.
