Purchased these to replace our 20 year old very thin wall plate foam insulation (see photo!). What a huge difference in the size and thickness! I love it. Great upgrade! See my photos. These gaskets are great and are much higher quality and quantity than what is sold at the big box stores, I am ordering more!

My home is 120 years old now and was built before wall insulation existed. I have a lot of drafts and in an effort to close up as many as possible, I used these on all of the exterior wall outlets and switches. It seems to help a little and it all adds up. I used them at a previous house, too. You just can't have too much insulation and for the cost and ease of installation, it's a no brainer.

Ideal product for their purpose

The most difficult part of installation in getting the parts separated without separating too many parts. It just takes a little time and patience. I used a ball point pen to remove the center screw hole and found that easy with one of the foam cutouts below the hole. Once the part was separated installation was a breeze.

Easy install, and now the cold air isn't howling through my sockets, also installed plug caps which completed the project effectively.

My electric company recommended insulating the wall sockets. Not sure how much energy it will save, but very easy to do. Material is pre-cut, Just remove what is needed.
