UHT Besciamella - keep it in your pantry
Besciamella, like Panna, is a common shelf item in Italian grocery stores and is used in baking dishes such as Lasagna. I am the consumer and my wife is the cook so I really can't go into detail on preparation but panna is very easy to add to many recipes. Hopefully someday soon UHT Besciamella will be carried by American grocery stores - Italian UHT milk by Parmalat is carried by most Walmart stores and is a favorite item for the RV community because of its long shelf life and doesn't have to be refrigerated. The UHT means it ultra pasteurized for long conservation Several months) so it doesn't have to be used within a short period of time after purchase which makes it very convenient.

Close to homemade!
I made lasagna Bolognese, which is a time-consuming project, with this. It was delicious and I certainly saved some time using this ready-made sauce since I didn’t have to make the besciamella from scratch. Good quality.

Good but short expiration date.
Although these are great in lasagna, the expiration dates on all 4 packs were June 10, 2016 - only 30 days to use all 4 boxes. Not what I intended, so I guess I'll make and freeze some dinners.
