I have no issues with this. It works as it should with the hoover vacuum. It has the HEPA Filter and I'm happy to say it works as well as the first bag worked that came with the vacuum.

I really hesitated to pay so much more for these than regular paper bags, but they're definitely worth it.The bags are very cloth-like. They remind me of the material that's used for the disposable pillow covers on airplanes, but a little thicker. The pliability of this material versus paper make the bags significantly easier to install on my vacuum, which is no small thing. Maybe my vacuum is more trouble than most, but it's always been a trick to install a fresh bag with a good seal.Before the first use, I thoroughly cleaned the inside of my vacuum of the very fine dust layer that accumulates around the outside of the paper bag. I've now been using this bag for a while and not a spec of dust has built up around it. That really proves the difference. Besides that objective proof, I think I can tell that the air doesn't smell as dusty during/after vacuuming as when I used the paper bags.I've got three of the paper bags left and realistically I'll soon be throwing them out. They're just not worth it after trying these!

These are original Hoover vacuum bags in sealed packaging. Although made in China, I believe these are made to Hoover's standards and appear good quality. These are the thicker "Hepa" filter bags to filtrate to .3 microns. A bit more expensive than standard vacuum bags but these bags filter out the very fine dust. A little better choice for those who suffer certain dust allergies.If you want to save a little money you can buy Hoover's "Z" bags which are interchangeable with this "Y" bag although the "Z" bag is Hoover's standard bag filtering to .5 microns. Hoover Type Z Allergen Bag (3-Pack), 4010100ZOverall, this is a better filtered bag but, Hoover's "Z" bag is sufficient (.5 microns) for most people since the majority of dust expelled from your vacuum is not from the bag.

We’ve struggled with previous Type Y and Type Z bags that just didn’t stay on the suction tube of our upright. The bag openings were paper with a perforated “X”. But this bag is equipped with a silicone ring that grips the tube and sills the bag in place providing max suction. Excellent feature!

First let me tell you I don't know anything about vacumn bags. A few years ago the lady who comes in once a week to clean my house told me I needed a new vacumn cleaner. So I told her pick it out and I would buy it. She also had the salesman lay out a few packages of bags for it. She likes the vacumn and recently told me she needed some more bags but be sure to get the real Hoover Pleated HEPAY bags whatever they are. That they were the very best.So when she opened the box of bags from Amazon she was happy with them. I was happy it was what she wanted and a happy housekeeper and a clean house gets these bags a 5 star rating from me.Charles

These bags cost a bit more than other conventional bags but I feel they are well worth the additional price in order to get the maximum benefit form the HEPA system of our vacuum cleaner.I definitely have noticed a difference when either I or my Wife vacuum the floors in that I do not smell the dirt odor that I once did when we were using a vacuum that did not have the HEPA system built into it. These bags provide yet another layer of filtration and in my opinion are worth the added expense.

I just received the bags today. I specifically waited until the merchandise was offered by Amazon, as opposed to an unknown vendor, since I read many negative reviews regarding shady vendors. In the Amazon picture, it says "made in USA", but they are made in China. I inserted the bag in my Hoover Tempo vacuum for a "test drive". First thing I noticed was chemical smell given off by the bags. I will use the bags since I don't have a better alternative. I am still in search of the "made in USA" ones... but I have a feeling Hoover no longer makes them domestically... sigh.
