I am having some surgery and the surgeon wanted me to drink some other brand prior to surgery - (Impact). Unfortunately I could NOT tolerate the flavor of that other brand - the 5th ingredient is anchovy paste. I was feeling defeated until I found Iconic protein drinks! Surgeon approved them as substitute. The Iconic drinks are VERY good - maybe a little too sweet, BUT it's tolerable. Comes in Chocolate truffle, Caffe Latte, and Vanilla bean. Very, very good flavor compared to all the others I have tried - at least 6 different brands. If you need a meal replacement or a high protein drink prior to surgery - look no further. This drink it the answer. No artificial ingredients. Super important to me. And they are shelf stable - DO refrigerate before drinking. Can be mixed with fruit or flavor drops or some ice to make it more like a milk shake. They are lactose free. Not mention the fair price. The other brand (Impact) is almost a hundred bucks per case of 12. This is about $38 per 12. I will definitely be purchasing only this brand any time I need it. I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. All my reviews reflect my honest, personal experience with the reviewed item - your experience may be different. Overall these are decent! I bought the vanilla. The flavor is good, great smooth texture, and they keep me full for a bit after drinking. There is a little bit of an after taste that leaves my mouth feeling kind of filmy, which is the only negative I have with these.

As a diabetic, I need to keep my blood sugar from rising and dropping excessively. My dietician wants me to eat every three hours, to prevent highs from overeating and lows from not eating. That has proved almost impossible because I am a busy person, very much on the go. Often I’m tied up in activities where I simply cannot take a snack break for 5 or 6 hours. I’ve tried keeping the usual snacks with me — nuts, cheese and crackers, protein bars. Then I would still have them when I got home because there had not been an opportunity to stop and eat. After such a long period, my blood sugar would be down and I’d be feeling shaky and tired. So my dietician recommended Iconic protein drinks, something I could sip on as I went about my business. At first I avoided this because previous experience with protein drinks was not good — they tasted awful. Finally I gave in and bought two bottles of Iconic. I had a performance coming up and knew I would not be able to eat for at least five hours, so I took a bottle of Chocolate Truffle and drank it while I was setting up my equipment. The first surprise was that it was quite tasty and I didn’t have to force myself to drink it. I actually enjoyed it! The second surprise was that I could drink it as I worked, much as I might sip from a bottle of water. And the third surprise, best of all, was that I had energy throughout the performance, and when I got home, my blood sugar was in the normal range — after more than five hours of not eating solid food. Two days later, I had another performance and took my second bottle (Vanilla Bean) along. The results were the same. I then went on Amazon and ordered a case each of the two flavors. I was contacted by the Iconic Customer Service rep, who was just checking that all was well. I told him then what a great job the Iconic was doing and that I was so glad I had found it. It has solved my personal health and nutrition issues when a busy life limits my time for taking care in the more usual ways. I highly recommend this product!

Not buying this anymore. Bought them for over a year. The last 2 batches have come clumpy and hard to even mix. At $50 a case, I'm good. Other brands which taste just as good for slightly less money (and more protein). I high recommend finding a different product if you are looking. Searching through the reviews, it seems like this has been going on for a few months for everyone.

I buy this product for my mother who is 83 years old. She has many medical issues and it is hard to find protein products and supplements because of this. She is lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, had diverticulitis, ulcerated colitis, and osteoporosis which has resulted into an extreme spinal scoliosis. She has had and beaten cancer twice, so there are a lot of products and foods she steers clear of, soy products being one of those. So it has been really hard to find certain foods and supplements for her. The Iconic Grass Fed Protein Drinks fit the bill. She loves the vanilla, and drinks one daily to help supplement her meals. What I have found, is that these need to be shaken thoroughly. More than most protein drinks. But so far, this has worked in mixing the contents well, and so far, since using this product since fall of 2018, she has always gotten a consistent product. Some have posted that they received some that was not mixed well or coagulated. We have not had that experience. So far all of the bottles we have received have been good.Another plus with this protein drink, is it has really helped my mom maintain a better health. Before she started using this product, with all her problems, she was barely able to stay at 103 lbs. She had to have a pacemaker installed last October. At one point after the surgery she had dropped down to 102 lbs. If she could stand up straight she would be 5'7". But since she has been using this product he has gained and maintained a weight of 108 lbs and her color is really good now. So I believe this is really helping. So I would highly recommend this product for someone who has any of these problems or just has a elderly family member that needs a good protein supplement in their diet.
