Great sleep aid
Helps me go to sleep faster. Still wake up 3-4 hours later but can easily go back to sleep. Does not make me drowsy the next day.

Extended release melatonin + ashwagandha + reishi mushroom + L-glycine
If you're looking for something to put you to sleep, melatonin is great. But for many, melatonin wears off during the night, and you wind up waking earlier than you'd hoped. This particular supplement combines regular melatonin with time-release melatonin to help keep you asleep longer. The total amount of melatonin is 3mg, which is enough for many adults, but some adults use larger doses. You only get 30 pills here, so if you need more than 3mg/night, this is gonna be a bit expensive. In addition to the melatonin, you get ashwagandha, which some claim to be useful to reduce stress, reishi mushroom, which some believe boosts the immune system, and L-gylcine, also purported to be useful for relaxation. The effectiveness of the melatonin is proven. The effectiveness of the other ingredients is not, although some studies suggest they have value. Whether you want to have all these additives in addition to melatonin will be a personal decision. That this is provided as capsules, not pills, so you can't split them. One pill provides 3mg of melatonin, which is a moderate adult dose. A capsule is one dose, so you have 30 doses (nights) in this bottle. This is more expensive per dose than many melatonin supplements, so the value to you will depend on whether you value the other supplements included with the melatonin. The time-release melatonin that's included is a plus.

Good Product
This is the best brain supplement I've found. I'm 75 and have experienced memory loss over the last several years, but SharpMind has really helped with word recall and helps me string a sentence together! It's no magic Einstein pill, but I am grateful for the benefits I do get from it. I do notice a big difference if I don't take it.

Puts me sleep eventually
It’s a capsule product. No flavor if chugged down with water. Don’t sniff it though. The smell is a bit stronger than expected. It works slower than straight melatonin. I have to take it 2-3 hours before I plan to get drowsy. It works with or without food. No food is better though in my experience. In my case, the pill causes a gradual drowsiness. So I can perform the usual night /sleeping routine. Lay in bed and doze off. Whereas melatonin hits me like a freight train and I have to rush to bed before the drowsiness wears off. If I miss the train, then I’m up for the rest of the night.I don’t believe these are habit forming. One bad melatonin night (stay up for 24 hours), might wreck my sleep schedule for 3-4 days after regardless of perfect sleep hygiene routine. This pill can be used when needed and still develop a natural sleepiness the next night.Pros: gradual drowsiness, no fear of being forced awake for 24+ hours with 2-3 hr naps for the next 3-4 nights, no extreme grogginess the morning after, no immediate thoughts of coffee, no weird body jerks, no depressive episodes right before falling asleepNeutral : vivid dreams are more rational, dry mouth is still present, no changes in BM

It works? Kinda.
Honestly, I'm still in the camp wondering if melatonin and sleep aids actually work for me. However, I do feel much drowsier when I wake up, so perhaps there's some sort of effect. Just be warned, that this product may or may not work for you. I never felt any sleepier than before using this supplement, even if I took the recommended dosage right before or a hour or so before bed.I also know nothing of the other ingredients in this sleeping aid supplement nor do I understand their impact on sleep. Since I don't feel any changes to my pre-sleep routine, I can only evaluate this product based on price. At 30 capsules for $16, ~50 cents per capsule sounds a little bit too steep. For that much, I would need a more substantial reaction or noticeable assistance towards my sleeping routine.

Improves sleep quality, but could be better
This is a great sleep supplement. In particular, the melatonin and Shoden ashwagandha extract have really helped me fall asleep and improve my sleep quality. But the formulation could be improved a bit:**120mg Shoden Ashwagandha - Clinically studied for improving sleep quality, boosts immunity, increases testosterone levels, reduces fatigue, etc. 120mg is the best dose, and the same amount studied in clinical trials.**200mg Reishi mycelial biomass - Mostly grain/substrate (not real mushroom), and too low of a dose to offer any benefits. Basically a filler ingredient.**3mg Melatonin - Moderate dose of melatonin, not excessively high but a bit higher than I typically take. Your body naturally produces around 0.3mg melatonin each night, and I find 1mg is the sweet spot for me where I sleep soundly without waking up groggy.**250mg glycine - Glycine is amazing for sleep quality. But 250mg is too low of a dose. The amount used in studies for sleep quality is 3000mg an hour before bed.Thoughts:It's a great sleep supplement, but could definitely be improved. It's essentially just 3mg melatonin + 120mg Shoden ashwagandha. The reishi is a cheap/non-potent form, and the glycine dose is too low to offer any real benefits. If you have insomnia or poor sleep quality, melatonin + shoden ashwagandha is a great combo. But I definitely recommend adding in a good lemon balm extract (Cyracos is my favorite), magnesium, and a higher dose of glycine (3000mg) before bed.
