Text Mining with R: A Tidy Approach

Libro molto interessante con esempi pratici corredati da codice ben spiegato, funzionante e adattabile con facilità anche a ricerche analoghe ma con dataset differenti.Essenziale per chi vuole fare ricerca nel settore del Text Mining utilizzando R e la libreria tidytext. Adatto anche ai neofiti ma se hai un po di esperienza con R puoi adattare meglio il codice alle tue esigenze.

Need a bit of R background

This is an excellent book about text mining. I would highlight not only the clear and concise explanation given by the authors, but also the relevance of the examples and the structure of the book. Furthermore, it is extremely important that the authors base their analyses on the tidy approach to data analysis (a framework of concepts that is rapidly becoming the standard approach in R). The best chapters are the three fleshed out examples in the last chapters.I have only two complaints: the book could be longer; some mathematical treatment could be introduced in the appendices as technical material. Nevertheless, these are extremely minor given how much I liked the book.Highly recommended!

Excelente e muito bem escrito!No mundo da "Big Data" está ocorrendo uma saudável disputa entre os amantes de Python e R, o que tem aumentado rapidamente os recursos e as possibilidades de aplicação de ambas as linguagens.Uma das áreas em que a linguagem R tinha até o momento uma aparente desvantagem era o processamento e a mineração automática de texto. Este livro mostra como utilizar os recursos básicos e alguns pacotes específicos do R para cobrir esta lacuna.
