 This thing is absolutely amazing - mix in some lights that change colors - and holy wow - who needs blotter paper anymore... :)

Stationary, this is really cool looking and when it spins it looks great! But the build quality is between "ok" and "low". For one, there's quite a bit of wobble between it and the caps, even after tightening them. It's unbalanced too, though not the worst I've seen. Held on just your thumb, it will vibrate, but it won't "walk" across a table. It does spin pretty smoothly though. It's noisy too. It makes this incredibly high pitched, metallic whine. I wish it were quieter... though, again, not the worst I've heard. Also, it's edges are sharp! It won't cut you... but it will definitely rough up your fingers which makes prolonged use for me uncomfortable. They could have easily solved this if they rounded off the edges, I really wish they would have, it definitely would make for a more pleasant experience.All in all, I WANT to like it, but just don't think I can. I love the look. But its sharp edges, sound and periodic shaking are enough for me to pass on this spinner.

My son really likes it and for the first week, it ran very well. However, it started to spin for a lot shorter time than it did before. We could also hear a grinding noise. Happily, the fix is simple; remove the centre gold-coloured pieces (they twist off because they are screwed in) and you will notice that a tiny screw has risen slighlty, rubbing against the cover as it spins. Tighten this screw with an appropriately sized screwdriver, reassemble and there you go! Gave it four stars due to that issue.

Overall, very happy with this, especially for the price. Just got it, so I can't speak to longevity, but initial fit and finish are very good. The spinner is nice and heavy, and it comes in a vinyl pouch and cardboard box stubble for gifting (mine was slightly crushed in shipping). There's a little bit of wobble in the bearing, but it didn't seem to affect the spin. I timed 6:58 on my first spin and then put it away since its for my son.... five stars for that.

I love the look and the weight. The whirring sound is noisier than I would like and it has a bit of a wobble. 2:24 minute spin. When I loosen the buttons the noise stops. I love the look so much that it's still one of my favorites. I'm spinning it frequently in hopes that it will break in and meet it's potential.*** UPDATE*** The spin time is increasing with use. It's up to 3:11.

I bought 4 for each one of my grandsons for Christmas. They really loved them. They are still talking about them 4 days later. They love how long they spin and which by the way is a long time. I was the greatest in their eyes. Would highly recommend these. I got a thumbs up from each one of their parents also. The cloth and the casr are a plus also. They clean them then put them back in the case when done spinning. Thanks fir a great product.

It's certainly an attractive spinner with respectable spin time; I got a 5:28 spin roght out of the box, which is significantly better than promised.My only objection it that it's quite noisey; enough so that it would be embarrassing to use it in public. I'm hoping that as the hybrid bearing breaks in, it will quiet down...
