Mrs. Mustard's BEASTLY BABIES (Mrs. Mustard's Books)

There weren't very many photos of this but I took a chance and ordered it based on other positive reviews and I am so glad I did! Every newborn I know from now on is going to get this and its companion book, Baby Faces. I eagerly unwrapped it when it arrived and was soon having a coughing fit from laughing so hard! Then everyone in my household came to see what the ruckus was and we were all laughing up a storm! It's very well made, not flimsy at all, and a good size for reading with baby in your lap or on the floor (and small/light enough for baby to handle him/herself from 5 or 6 mos old, I'd say). I love that it opens like an accordion and can stand on its own. When I was small I had a few books that style and played with them as walls for my stuffed animal fort, barbie house, bowling lane, etc well into my elementary years. I'm a new, huge fan of Mrs. Mustard!

All babies like to look at other babies! They are always happy to look at the different faces. As they grow older, they tend to make faces back at the book. Grandchildren have all loved the series.

Clearly I did not read the description of what this is when I ordered it. I expected a book of pictures of babies making faces. Instead, it's an accordion book that has pictures of babies/toddlers making faces juxtaposed with animals making the same face. It's AMAZING. I laughed so hard when I first looked at it. My eight month old, currently really into looking at baby faces, is obsessed with it. He keeps flipping through the pages while smiling and talking to the pictures.I also really love the backgrounds that the floating baby and animal heads are against and wish I could get a few as wallpapers. I wish Mrs. Mustard would create more books!

My baby loves this book. It opens up accordion style so you can stand it up, my little one started doing so much more tummy time ever since I got this book, he loves looking at it and sometimes will spend a good 10 minutes just staring!

My baby LOVES this book. It opens accordion style with baby faces and animal faces on opposing pages. We keep it in his crib and we can see him on the monitor looking at it over and over and just cracking up.

I don't know about this one. The beasts (aka, animal faces) are kind of scary and definitely gross! Not our favorite book.

Pretty hilarious accordion book. It was worth getting just for the laugh.

Absolutely brilliantly executed concept - real toddlers for toddlers to look at. Our kids loved it. And the thing is durable - ours lasted for years.
