I, thankfully, haven't had to use this yet. But it is just the right size for the first aid kit. It does create a good suction and is very simple to use. I am aware that this is not a replacement for medical treatment. But it definitely will not hurt and, in some situations, may be a helpful addition to treatment.I bought this because I read a news story about a woman whose 6 year old child was bitten by a copperhead. She used this kit while waiting on med flight. Two days later the child was running and playing like nothing had happened. The hospital told her that her use of this kit in the 3 minutes following the bite had probably made a big difference in the outcome.

Luckily, I haven't had an opportunity to use the kit and hope I never do. Happy with the build quality. I have put it on the console in my car. Never know when it may be needed, which offers peace of mind. I gave one to my pool tech because you never know what he might run into. He really appreciated it. Thank you.

Yesterday I was stung by 2 yellow jackets. I am very sensitive to them and the last 2 times I was stung my hand swelled to twice its normal size for days and required a trip to the doctor's office for a steroid injection. Yesterday after using the device I had no swelling of my hand and only localized swelling of the sting on my leg. This morning saw a slightly larger swelling with rash on my leg (still a lot better than I would have expected otherwise) and still no swelling of my hand. The sting on my hand was itchy but a little antihistamine handled that. So grateful that this innovation has kept me out of the doctor's office this time around.I would have given 5 stars if I could tell a distinct difference every time, but there have been some honeybee stings (to which I am not as sensitive to as the yellow jackets) that I wasn't sure there was much reduction in the normal, localized reaction. Product also seems to be a little less effective on softer, fleshier areas. All in all though, better than nothing and very glad that I have it on hand.

I had a cyst on my cheek for several years. I lost my insurance after Obamacare and so I was unable to go to the doctor. Finally, I was able to see a doctor and he attempted to drain the cyst. But he was not able to get much from it. He referred me to a specialist who cost me more money but did nothing because he was nervous to touch it without a CT scan. But a few weeks later, the cyst began to drain from the puncture hole the first doctor made in his attempt to drain it. I purchased this and began using it every week to draw out the "junk". A month later my disfiguring cyst is gone and I feel a lot better about being seen in public.You should always follow the guidance of a doctor, and never touch a wound with your hands. That is why I bought this. I sterilize the cup before and after each use with alcohol. The device has been great.

Used it about 2 weeks later when she got stung by one of her bees.Works great!

Cheap build but adequate I guess in an emergency

I hunt in the Southeast where copperheads and timber rattlers are fairly common. Having the Ven-Ex gives me peace of mind when going into the woods. The compact size makes it easy to carry or stow in a backpack. Highly recommend for all outdoorsmen.

This surely deserves 5 stars even tho I haven’t used it yet. There was an article about a woman who lives about 20 miles from me. She ordered this as they were moving to a farm and she wanted it for bees mainly. She and her husband took off for a walk with their 7 year old son. Her son reached under some rocks and was bit by a rattlesnake! She had this kit with her and while the husband called 911, she started extracting the venom. A helicopter was sent to their area and took him to the hospital. Paramedics said she had it extracted by the time they arrived! He was checked out and went home a couple of hours later. The father killed the snake but they showed him holding it afterwards. Having this certainly helped save this child’s life! This was on the news not made up. She told what kit she purchased from Amazon. So, that is why I bought one. Inexpensive, arrived in 2 days, and I feel better just having it.
