This Mr. Pen tape measure is sturdy, reliable, and definitely a step up from the other cheap ones I’ve used before. The build feels solid, and the slide lock does a great job of holding the tape in place. I also really appreciated the customer service note included in the box--it said to reach out any time if issues come up, which shows Mr. Pen really stands behind their product.I loved the different color options--it’s a fun way to personalize a tool that’s usually just basic black and yellow. My only minor complaint is that I wish there was a separate button for temporarily holding the tape in place instead of having to push the slide lock every time. Also, like most tape measures, if you’re measuring something long and horizontally, you might need a second pair of hands to help.Overall, a solid tape measure with great customer care behind it! Great value for the low price I bought it at.

Overall love this measuring tape, here are the pros and cons:PROS:-Super easy to read extra large numbers, great if you forgot your glasses!-Mechanism is smooth, glides easily, seems well madeCONS:-Only has inches, no centimeters. I miss being able to pull out the tape to see how big a certain amount of centimeters will be. In this world of the internet where we can buy things marketed only in centimeters, this means I first have to do the calculation (2.54 cm per inch) and then pull out the tape measure to see how that size looks (or use a diff tape measure that does have centimeters).-This is a large-in-the-hand tape measure with a solid weight to it. I have a mini tape measure that seems a bit handier when I’m on the go (but not nearly as easy to read). So if you flea market this will add some bulk and weight to your tote bag. On the other hand, it is super easy to read!Bottom Line: I wish they had put centimeters in smaller print along the bottom edge, but other than that this is a smoothly functioning super easy to read and use tape measure. I LOVE it. It works well and feels well made—not cheap. It retracts fairly smoothly and speedily, and mainly, it’s PINK. I do many crafts and household little fix-it jobs but can never nail down where the “good” tape measure is because it’s always disappearing! SO! This time I bought a PINK one and no one else in the house can claim they thought it was theirs. And I’m keeping it in my primary craft drawer.

Seems good and have only used it a few times. Probably even better for someone who's into carpentry. Good price.
