We tested the USB connection portable kettle during the development, boiling time will be more than 1.5 hours, not suitable for personal or family use.

Q: The unit beeps nostop after I set the temperature, is this a problem or feature?

This is a fault alarm, it doesn't happen every time, does it? Does it show any numbers? Replace it with another socket and reconnect it should be fine

Q: Is this item ok using a auto-inverter for on the road travel?

Yes I’ve used a 75 watt inverter with mine and it was ok
