Not thrilled
First. It doesn't seem to take that much humidity out. Running continuously for three days now, humidity in basement has dropped only 6%, from 80% down to 74%. Previously I used a Kenmore unit which easily and quickly took humidity down to 50% and would keep it there running only periodically.Second. I went to connect a hose to allow draining to sump and found the provided hose coupling is too small... It can be remedied for a couple bucks with fittings from Home Depot.Update: Humidity still holding at 73% after nearly two weeks running continuously and still feeling very damp. So, I took the hose out of the sump to catch and measure the amount of water actually taken out of the air. I'm seeing only about 2 cups (1 pint) per hour. Running continuously in a 24-hour day, that makes only 24 pints... half of the rated capacity. It's not like it's a dry area and there is no humidity to be found... very disappointed.

Good-Looking, Quiet Dehumidifier
This my second PerfectAire, the first is a PA50, which is still running like a champ. Thus, am familiar with this brand, and what I consider high quality dehumidifiers. As with my first, pulled it out of the box, and after removing shipping tape, removed the drain tube from the bucket, adjusted the tub float, and plugged this baby in. Kicked on immediately, set the humidity setting, and selected normal fan speed. Didn't have to refer to the owner's manual (but will peruse it this evening). Is turning on and off as advertised, I can feel a more comfortable humidity level, after just 3 hours time (went from 80% to 50%). Am using it in my one-car garage and where I do my laundry. Comparing the "noise level" between the PA50 and my new PAD50, this one is quieter, even when running on the turbo fan speed. Located right outside my kitchen door to the garage and cannot hear it running. Am extremely pleased. It even looks good, if you would want to place it in a living-area location. This is day one; will update if something derogatory happens.

Works really well and not too loud
Works great. Not the quietest one I've used but not very loud either. Doesn't get too hot. Can let it run continuously if you want. It is a beast and works great. Had it running in our basement for 24 hours and removed that "bad basement" smell even. Love it!

The best
A workhorse. Love it. Fan is not continuous. Only comes on when needed. Warranty. Awesome. My second time with this brand.

Best Dehumidifier
We use non-vent propane in our house and the humidity can really build up. We have a 50 pint in the back of our house we brought last year, and this 30 pint in the front. We are very happy with this brand dehumidifier, nerver had any problems. They run quiet, self defrosting and let you know when to clean the built in filter.

Works well. The drawer that collects the water is sometimes a little tight to get back in the unit.
